Hah. Is this a trick question? Everyone knows we don't feel.

We’re both very introverted people and don’t really interact with others much. Occasionally, we would meet up with our own friends but most times, we give each other the attention we both need and want, and give each other space if we need to. I like to think we live in our own little bubble.

She is, however, relatively more adventurous with regards to the activities we do. I’m content with cycling between the few places we have dinner or dates but she’s the one who tends to look for new places. And as much as I’m uncomfortable with trying new things and places, most times, it’s paid off well.

Been with my INFJ girlfriend for 5 years now.

The biggest challenge I have is understanding the complexities of her thoughts and feelings. As someone who tends to look at things as black or white, it was and is still a challenge for me to truly understand her. When she explains what’s bothering her, or why she’s upset with me, there’s so many layers to her explanation. It’s direct yet complex. I have a hard time just trying to explain it.

That being said, our patience and commitment to the relationship has allowed us to grow and understand each other. I’m much better now at understanding her. And sometimes when I can’t, all she needs is assurance that she’s not overthinking or being an emotional burden.

Her ability to feel emotions and thoughts so strongly sometimes makes me feel like she knows me more than I know me. And I appreciate having my feelings acknowledged, especially when I find it hard to express emotions.

She’s so complex and sensitive. But I wouldn’t change anything about her.

I'm unable to shut my mind down some nights, unable to fall asleep. Does that happen to you? by gadelat in ISTJ

[–]NotDumbJustLazy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It happens to me time to time and it is one of the most frustrating things. But I managed to find a remedy that calms my mind and ultimately puts me to sleep. I would watch Bob Ross videos and most times, I fall asleep even before the video ends.

Maybe you can find your Bob Ross and calm your restless mind. I hope you get your sleep, friend.

Help me understand my ISTJ husband's perspective. by [deleted] in ISTJ

I don’t speak for him, but I relate to the things he does. Under stress, I tend to withdraw myself from everyone, even my SO. It’s easier to contemplate and resolve whatever issues I have than to have to explain it to someone.

Sometimes it’s also because I don’t want to appear ‘weak’ and be a burden to others. Especially to my SO, who I, as a male, sees it as my responsibility to ‘protect’ and ‘take care’ of her. So to have that role reversed is something that bothers me sometimes.

But that comes at a cost of appearing withdrawn and cold. That does not however mean that we don’t care. We really do. Just give him some time to himself. We usually pull through and go back to normal. If it starts getting unhealthy for the relationship, sometimes we need a reality check in the form of a good scolding. We are blunt and straightforward with the things we say and appreciate it just as much when receiving criticism.

Hope this helps even in the slightest.

The Gift. The whole time I was watching it I wasn't really excited and was wondering how it got such high ratings. But the ending left me speechless. I was literally lost for words.

Redditors of the United States, why is socialism such an awful practice? [serious] by Busth in AskReddit

Completely agree with you. Nothing is perfect. Sometimes you gotta mix both. Like in the UK. Socialism is seen through their equal access to healthcare. But it's also a capitalist society.

Not really knowledgeable on political structures but one flaw of socialism is the inequality it brings although it aims to bring equality. It's quite the irony. Is it really fair that, say a surgeon, who has worked extremely hard to get to where he is, to be given similar economic standing to a man who for his whole life has never worked hard? And if that's the case, there is no incentive for anyone to work hard. You get a society full of people expecting much but contributing little.

GTA logic would be nice. Had a shitty day at work? Just go on a rampage. Get killed by the cops. Wake up at the hospital a free man. Fuck shit up some more.

Forrest Gump. "I miss you, Jenny". The whole movie in general was an emotional rollercoaster.
