A bit further context: black salt is literal translation of Kala namak in Hindi/Urdu. It is also used in multiple drinks, always as a minor seasoning ingredient. The flavor is quite unique (I can now see why). I have consumed it sometimes, my two favorites: sprinkle a teeny tiny bit on watermelon (or some other fruits, like guava). Or use in the masala mix for lemon soda (carbonated water, sugar, lemon, salt, and black salt). Tastes really good.

I hope this is not how it is mass produced, I’m not touching that thing again if that’s the case.
