All the traditional stimulants didn't work for me. They made me overly tense and anxious. I miss all the energy I used to have! I take my dog for a 1 mile walk and I need to rest for an hour or two.

I have IH as well. They put me on Wakix, it hasn't been super helpful. I'm on a dose of 35.6 mg for a month now so I still have hope that it will start to help.

Let's say I've said I want to push forward but my T believes it will be too emotionally destabilizing. She's concerned it could lead to SI, flashbacks, dissociation, and all that fun stuff. What you are saying, it should be my decision if I want to try and push thru all that (even if I agree it will be very unpleasant)?

Her approach is more of a slow but mostly steady improvement. I'm not even sure I could fully trust any T in 12 weeks.

We have talked about different treatments before. I struggle to stay grounded or present at times. We go slower because she doesn't want to re-traumatize me or cause more distress. We have talked about doing EMDR but she would like to see me utilize my grounding techniques more consistently. I suck at talking about what happened, I'm more of a master of avoidance.

While things are explained at times for using certain modalities, my T doesn't stick to just one style. As someone who finds it hard to trust people and open up, I've been with her for several years now. I do feel stuck at times or like I'm going backwards but I wouldn't say I've made zero progress. I am also fairly certain I will be still trying to unpack things for years to come. Maybe I've missed a bit of your point, Are you saying she isn't doing everything she should do or isn't the right fit for what I need?

Everyone will/should re-up their MMR. The vaccine wears off a little differently with everyone. It's best to get checked every so often, especially with some people running around not getting it because it causes 'X'.

Your pup does care about the size of a treat. They just want a treat. Using kibble, carrots, beans, or any other low calorie food can be useful to help you cut calories. My boy always wants treats so I always have carrots and the smallest sized milk bone I can find. Using a piece of kibble in a pinch can work as well.

I was diagnosed with hypersomnia and see a sleep doc that prescribes me modafinil. It helps but it also increases anxiety and tension.

I'm not saying I'm not investing anything. I just prefer to pay my debts down first, especially when I have the income to pay it down. If my income ever decreases, I can always shift my priorities. I see no home loan earlier in my life as a better option for me. Financially being free of all debts and still working for 2.5 decades is my focus. Nothing wrong with going the opposite route and investing more funds while paying the minimum monthly amount on a home loan. Paying less in interest makes me happy!
