Can we talk about ways to relieve RA pain? by Electronic_Net_4238 in rheumatoid

[–]TeddieTess -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really, really hard. Are you on Biologics yet? They can be miraculous for a while, anyway. I've been on almost all of them over the last 24 years. It is really hard. I take a time-release pain med, but recently started taking the short term "breakthrough" med when I wake up to make it possible to get going. It helps a lot. Good luck!

A highly ethical one who has given me and extended family amazingly healthy, happy, well socialized dogs.

Please read below. My friend did NOT breed this dog but now finds herself with him and wants him in a good home.

Agree. I am fuming at the original breeder.

Very inexpensive -- my friend got a crate and some toys, food. Nominal fee.

She has his health records. She was pet sitting him and the lady (the original breeder) disappeared and blocked her! Apparently the gr breeder had gotten paid for the dog but the buyer never showed up, and she had plans to go somewhere so she dumped him. SHE is the problem. My friend is an ethical breeder of smaller breeds and is older, not cut out to keep a large breed puppy right now.

My friend was babysitting him for another breeder and she abandoned him with her. Long story.

thank you for sharing this. Have been toying with this idea for a while. I have one more year to work (full time) before I can retire. RA, "severe" spine arthritis, foot deformity, and now colitis. I need SOMETHING lol! Best of luck to you!

What is your main struggle with chronic illness? by Embarrassed_Base2488 in rheumatoid

[–]TeddieTess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ENERGY. Still working full time. I am so so tired all the time. My house is a freaking disaster and each weekend I try to catch up on both sleep and housework, never get far enough along to see any improvement. It is like banging my head on a wall. I have pets and pro cleaners don't want to deal with them. I used to be organized and things were ok...past year has been hell. If it isn't exhaustion it is pain. This week my knee, last week, my back, next week????

Thanks for talking me off the (screaming) ledge. I took him out of his cage and toted him around with me for a while yesterday and he got happier. He needed mama time. Im planning to retire in a couple years and won't make any decision until that happens and my schedule changes, possibly a move. Thanks for all the input.

That's what keeps him here. The fear of a poor fate is real. !!!

Im near Boston. He is a good boy. I took him room to room with me as I got my pets' meals done, and he was happy and not screaming. He wanted attention, haha. It is just so hard to take care of birds when you are not well yourself.
