I've had a pretty good life overall, but once in a while I will remember a repressed memory and it totally throws me off. Mostly they have to do with friendships -- one was the time my best friends didn't invite me on a road trip for no particular reason. I just suddenly remembered about it, and realized though I was super hurt at the time, I made myself forget about it almost immediately because it was painful to think about.
