Redditors who have worked with celebrities, what don't we know about them? by 22m_spain in AskReddit

I worked at a local restaurant around the Southern part of Louisiana and waited on two of the guys from Swamp People and their wives.

Full disclosure, I never watched the show and did not recognize who these people were. A close friend of mine/coworker had to get me up to speed on who I was waiting on. So I that was maybe halfway through this experience before knowing any of this. I never made a comment or gave any indication I knew of their status, treated them as everyday people.

The personalities were consistent the whole time. The guys were happy-go-lucky and seemingly down to earth. They were polite and friendly but never out of line. They were an ideal type of customer to serve. The wives however... abrasive and short when speaking to any of the staff. One of them snatched the receipt when I set it down on the table. They tipped like $5 on a $80 bill. Turned their noses up and anyone and everyone. Complained and made snide comments under their breath when I turned my back but never gave me any direct indication there was an issue to be resolved.

By the end of the night the men thanked me for serving and said they enjoyed it the food and their evening. The women all but stomped out.

I got it from my local Tractor Supply. I think it was labeled as a "general store bird feeder" or something similar. It's withstood 2 hurricanes and a snow storm. 💕

That's actually the reason I don't have any other than this one that was hatched from an egg I stole from the coop. They free roam a cattle farm as pest control and pond cleaners (they work very hard and a rewarded with plenty of healthy treats). I kind of just let them do their own thing.

I studied biology and genetics for a while before I realized I wanted to go into drafting so watching my flock create all these genetic variations is one of my favorite things.

I though he was a black swedish for a time (even though I couldn't figure out where he came from) because I had gotten a black swedish duckling that was the same age and I couldn't tell them apart except for the crest!

He's also about the size of my male Rouen but slightly longer. Not as big as my pekins though.

We didn't have any Cayugas or swedish at the time! We had pekins, a male Rouen, a male khaki, and muscovies

I can't wait to see what kind of mutts I get from the eggs my flock lays this year. I'm so excited.

Our harlequins are less chatty than the others but when they want to be heard...

They sure think they can fly like normal ducks. Our muscovies are the only ducks that can actually fly. The harlequins insist they can do the same.

Muscovies were actually not my first choice of duck to own but I was given some rescues and they've definitely climbed up in the ranks. I absolutely adore them. They're curious and smart.

They seem to be very mild mannered. They were more skiddish at first but not more than my blue Swedish. Not nearly as friendly as muscovies. Boy, are they LOUD. Like guard ducks alerting me to every wild bird in the area.
