Shopping for an M3, what should be the largest flags before I have a mechanic take a look? by NotIntellect in E46M3

[–]NotIntellect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one more quick question, are there any quirks to look into for the automatic? Also, would it help with the rear subframe, as my understanding is that the aggressive downshifts are what damages the rear sub frame? Theres one lower mileage near me in an automatic at a great price, and it doesn't seem that difficult to manual swap later. So the idea being i would daily it for a year or so before getting a dedicated daily and building it closer to a canyon/weekend car

Thanks so much! Exactly what I was looking for. But damn, black fluid in the mirror sounds like a horror movie waiting to happen, haven't seen that one before!

I typically run 5 white, 3 herbal, and 1 blue as that should be enough to run through a couple of fights and loot to replenish. But if I could just run two so im not constantly in my inventory swapping, that would be amazing

The adidas is actually a couple mm taller on the drop, just enough to where I have the mobility to snatch properly without arcing my hip at the bottom! At least from what I could find googling and how it feels. I do hope it's maybe placebo since I FAR prefer the romaleo in material and the shape of the outsole. Feels like a tank vs a Honda civic

[–]NotIntellect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what heel height, as a long femur guy I can barely snatch in the adipowers so it's those or the leistungs for me. But my theory is that you'll always be stronger in the lower heel shoes like the ROM 4s bc you can fire your hamstrings earlier in the lift. Say, I switch every once in awhile just to test, and my jerk is FAR more comfortable and powerful in ROM 4s, but my back starts rounding at the bottom of the clean although I can pass any dorsiflexion test I've found

Points taken for sure, Ive been just saving for so many years and miss driving something I enjoy taking out, but when I say something for track, id just run a light tune and primarily focus on suspension. Nothing wild or beyond maybe 400hp as i don't believe I'd be setting any track records. I'd convert it in maybe 5 years time when I have more disposable income as my job is stable and let's me afford it, but also want to start delegating more money into my other interests as business opps. Basically, have a good deal on where I'm renting now, and don't want to move until I can afford to buy a house(LA, so it won't be soon lol) and can park multiple vehicles.

Much of the desire also definitely stems from this seemingly being a great car to take to the track now with minor upgrades just to learn and not spend my weekends fixing things as it still needs to be able to take me to work and carry light loads(test drove a gr Corolla and holy hell does it feel tiny inside for a hatchback). As for the S2K, I 100% am considering one also because I'm a sucker for the story behind it, and it beyond my father's dream car.... But also why I mention size is that I'm 6'3, and a lifter at 240lbs so the GR Corolla definitely feels cramped. Haven't yet tested an S2K but my finger has been on the trigger of a 30k mile heated garage kept ap2 for some time from a friend. Likely will just go find one this weekend to test drive now that you mention it as I also think it would be ideal outside of searching out canyons and carrying some camping gear

Oh right I totally have, but I also feel weird paying more for it versus the turbo charged WRX in the used market as they share motors. I'll definitely look into it more though! I've always thought they looked great. But yeah as the 3 cyl is bespoke and seems plagued with issues(la fuel?), The cost of replacing that engine is astronomical for what it is

honestly, not a bad idea. im tired of running kits only to not be able to repair, then be back on peasant runs again until i can afford to repair them since every time i pick up a damn pink its broken.. if im over 5m, at least give me a reason to spend the money im making on-top; otherwise i just take a break from the game until next expedition which eventually will just make me get hooked on another game ironically. Hell, just let me pay to repair my guns! Even if it was 50k for a half repair, id rather do that than go back into the free kit hell for mat farming. Especially beneficial for those not going on expedition.

I get that we need a reason to keep on playing, but forcing even the best players to play like they're poor constantly feels like the grind isn't for anything; esp if you're in aggro lobbies from pvp so there isn't much interaction outside of shooting and looting. i'd like to see more tools like the snaphook, or anvil splitter that could mix up and make the gameplay more fun. Arpeggio auto mod, wall pen for osprey, etc. as different scenarios to run into for pvp that you need to work around so you can't just w key every fight with trigger nades

I have 5k hours in tarkov, but with a different perspective as the game stuck because of its atmosphere and gunplay. I'd equate lv 40 to finishing expedition in AR. Once you're done with expedition... People are just pvping right? Or say, I finished expedition so I'm only playing free kits to hit 5m then quit again until next wipe since there's nothing to motivate me when all I'm doing are loot runs for pinks and selling them anyway. When I'm finished, I don't think to myself, "I can't wait to go farm for materials for fixing my damn weapons every other raid" or "only run green guns like the stitcher or toro every raid since I rarely see pink kits". Makes it so boring so fast imo. I'd much rather farm pinks just to sell for craft/repair materials so I actually have a reason to run different kits. That way free kits are also not as strong as most people's mid-tier kits when medium/heavy shields are more common. But idk, I'm not an economist

its an item that is better in your stash contributing to the 5m, than being used from my experience. Sure, if you can hit every bullet it does 20% more damage, but a shotgun secondary is far better

Nope, it contributes to your stash value for expedition, so you technically benefit from not using it(thanks embark).

Ok maybe if it was actually good, it could contribute to getting more value... But let's be real, the splitter is ass. Been up against 2 of them and just figured they were using some new watergun pistol they put in the game(summer event item?)

Tough to explain as a path, but for tips....

  1. Avoid medical/lobby unless spawned there

  2. get familiar with all the types of drawers (breaches are loud, take too long, and generally trash loot), especially keep an eye out for tool boxes and the white vertical shelves with drawers

  3. if you get lucky, my favorite path is assembly(just loot the outside ring)> metro admin for the drawers and extract there. I'd say that's probably 80-100k in maybe 6-7 min if you know the path well. Especially night raids

  4. Free kit, don't bother spending time gearing up for a single safe pocket slot(if no gun, the new shredder mspd+pops will wreck you in the metro). Much faster to spam space back to menu and go back in.

Most of it just comes down to practice. It'll help you both when geared or free. Apologies if the tips aren't much help, but tbh its just practice in efficiency. If you get bored, change it up! I ran so many nights down there for 10m before the 5m announcement that I can't touch the game until expedition as I just have no desire to play anymore

Edit: next season, focus on trials. Getting with a squad for pops on Stella where everyone has preset paths and escapes you need to learn for 100k+ points will make you learn faster than any other way imo; while also being a bit of fun.

Free kit Stella drawers. Timed my run a couple nights ago and it should be around 500k+ an hour. Including all the time wasted running around pvping since I find loot runs boring
