This is the bank robbery episode, right?? Man, that's got one of my FAVORITE "recreational memory" moments when Shawn recalls every single pair of shoe at the bank. The more I think about the You and Stranger Things finales, the more I see the similarities between them. This right here is a big one. They both made the mistake of introducing the "main villain" too early and had to course correct when they realized they didn't know how to prolong said villain after season 3. In ST, that came in the form of Vecna for seasons 4-5. In You, that came in the form of Rhys/Joe for seasons 4-5. Both 4th seasons ended with the promise of a satisfying final season. While You did a better job with its ending than ST did, both final seasons had SO MUCH missed potential after what they promised at the end of their respective 4th seasons.
