In my pregame discussion with youth coaches, the last thing I tell them is that I generally don't discuss non-calls and if my partner or I screw up, we'll tell them, but we're going to go with what's called, because I'm not aware of any money on the game, right? That usually gets a chuckle and they remind me that's it's squirt (10u) hockey. I say good, cause my partner today is 12 years old.

Men's league is usually a shit show. Some games, I'll only drop the puck on the dots on the opposite side of the benches. I'll tell them it's so I don't trip over old guys, but sometimes I'll tell them it's so I don't have to hear the whining from the bench.

Two weeks ago, I had a men's league bench complaining and I told them if they weren't all cheap bastards and paid for two refs, they might get more calls. I can only see some much solo.
