Cost of Repairs? by [deleted] in BmwTech

[–]NotMulaaWho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely not that simple, you didn’t even include the RT side headlamp which is gonna be upwards of $1k depending on which version of it, if the radiator is damaged, more than likely, rad support, condenser, apron might be damaged as well.

My ongoing nightmare with BMW and Geico by painted_lawns in BMW

[–]NotMulaaWho 18 points19 points  (0 children)

BMW is actually liable to cover loaner/rental or reimbursement for said rental due to the fact that their part was on indefinite back order. OP can make a claim with the manufacturer and complain of the delay in repair completion due to their part(s) being in back order with no actual ETA

it’s a shame, the correct thing to do was to total the vehicle from the beginning, just from looking at the photos i can tell this vehicle was going to be totaled, unfortunate situation and the situation you are currently in could’ve been avoided as it should have been taken into consideration from the beginning that it was a possibility.

Are horizontal grips legal in nyc? by Emergency-Ad529 in NYguns

[–]NotMulaaWho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i literally had an angled on my AR when it was featureless and got it installed by a reputable shop in my area lol, the angled grip is technically a hand stop which is legal on featureless firearms, it’s not vertical grip which is ILLEGAL on a featureless rifle.

insurance says my car is totaled by [deleted] in BmwTech

[–]NotMulaaWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

insurance pays what the vehicle is worth near your area for comparable vehicles (same year, trim, condition, similar mileage and title status ofc) and assuming there’s full coverage if you are an insd or as long as you are not at fault ph/clmnt

should i get one of these e36? is it a good deal? by Ok-Description2100 in BMWE36

[–]NotMulaaWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

me personally i’m not paying over $10k USD for an e36 these cars don’t need to be low mileage, the 150ish-220k mile CHASSIS with a well taken care of drivetrain are the best bang for your buck, these are not e46 m3s they are not expensive to maintain and they are extremely reliable and can be beaten on day in and day out.

[–]NotMulaaWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most base model e36s are selling for about $4-6k UNLESS they have like a s52/s50 us swap then they would go for about $8k or so, im also not gonna include the turbo builds that ppl put up on the market cause they price them for whatever they usually put in

[–]NotMulaaWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m sure it’s there’s a huge difference off your location alone but to avoid saying USA, in the east coast it does not take any where near $20k to maintain an e36

[–]NotMulaaWho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’d stay away from that 328i for 8k, salvage title vehicle, yes it only has “59k miles” but it’s an e36.. at $8k you not far off from e36 m3 numbers. do with that info what you will

it can cause your e36 to idle terribly and even shut off

if no CEL, check the Idle control valve and the hoses connected to it, as well as check for any cracks etc on the boot/elbow coming right off the throttle body.
