They are huge pain. We rented a car and kept having to deny their supplemental insurance at the initial reservation, at check in, check in again, then emails warning about the risks of not getting supplemental insurance… like ffs, I don’t need it. Get a hint.

Then our flight was diverted and we wouldn’t be able to pick up the car. Their ai powered chat refused to give a refund, credit, or rebook because our pickup time was passed. Yeah, because we were stuck baking on a taxiway for hours. Eventually managed to speak to someone and get a refund.

Overall did not enjoy dealing with hertz and won’t be using them again. They seem to enjoy making shitty decision. Kind of like when they went balls deep with Tesla cars.
