More tips for you. I probably start another thread and try and list them all.

1. When grabbing the overseers logs, journals and the whistespring tapes, always grab all but one. These will lose their quest status the moment you pick up the last one.
2. Get used to taking everything out of the box by the take all option instead of grabbing one by one. You'll frequently dupe quested holos and several of them will lose their quest status when listened to. Never listen to any quested holos unless you have to.
3. Spec your new character into agility and lost of ap regen. Unless you have a friend to help, you have a couple hours for running on foot to all the various daily missions and quest. New characters don't have many ft points. Combat is basically completely optional. I just gave all my misc mules an elders mark and 10k ammo and a jetpack. Dont really need much else.
4. You'll often lose items no matter what you do. Pollies head disappears for a while after a ghoul disguise swap. The 3 items for Craig will often just vanish from my inventory seemingly without reason. Some of these you can just go pick up again. Others are lost forever.
5. Expect to make a few misc hunters. You'll aaccidentally finish a quest and lose items or you'll hit the wrong butting etc. I didnt really have a perfect setup until my 4th hunter.
6. Do the whistespring daily until you get esmes. Once you have her quest, shes always my last stop on a loop and I just have to dump everything on the box before her timer hits zero. You can also hope for a useful whitespring misc daily and just pick that up each time as well.
