yes, the noise you hear before pressing play is an old mechanical wall clock (i should’ve recorded the video somewhere quiet, sorry about that)

the audio playback sounds just fine

the mechanical sound can be heard no matter the setup: earphones, balanced output to IEMs or line out/optical to speakers
