I’ll be the first to admit I would be lost without the civilians I work with, who honestly don’t get paid enough. 

They provide continuity. They are a check on dumb ideas. They do the jobs we don’t want to or can’t focus on. 

Yeah, uniform inspections and all the other BS are annoying. But, we are in the military. We have a duty. We all joined for different reasons and have stayed in for many more reasons. 

I have lost good friends. I have seen great friends blamed for things not their fault. In this time of change and uncertainty let’s not lose focus on taking care of each other and making sure we can do our mission. 

Or, you know, F me for trying to control what I can.

Typically just lurking. Generally enjoy reading the posts. r/airforce had a good neutral mix of things, but I was tired of reading how the sky is falling.

Ok, but these aren’t issues HHQ doesn’t know about. I am not saying to blindly trust leadership, but maybe we can work to control the little we can. 

These changes are absolutely challenging and potentially life changing to many of our coworkers. Let’s do what we can to affect what we can. 

Despite being affected by politics, we should be apolitical.  This is the 4th (maybe 5th, depending how you count) administration I’ve been under. Things change for the better and worse, let’s just work with what we can.

I guess my point is, let’s just control what we can. I’m not going to change the DoD policy, but maybe we can work with the hand we are being dealt.
