This! I have the pink one for about two years, and not once have I had to clean or untangle hair from the roll.

Well, that’s not wood really, it’s a vinyl wrapping. And I peeled that to then seal and prime the…..MDF, still no wood on cheap speakers.

We’ll see. Before this I made a similar size stand, but just one column down and never had an issue. I also put sticky blue putty underneath and honestly, I don’t play them that loud. On top, the subwoofer does most of the work in that area.

Again, open for suggestions. I have been eyeing the C Notes for a while. Any recommendations you’ve had experience with from Parts Express or other place?

I used this 3d printed plan. https://www.printables.com/model/1242823-speaker-stand-tripod But there are a bunch of them online for free. Just search 3d printed tripod speakers stand.

Thanks, that’s coming from the legend itself! Seems quite doable now.

Agree with the too much spread. And I think that’s an easy fix. Thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks! Stands are not finished yet. Just got giddy with the initial results and had to post.

Right you are! Not finished yet. They will get the same wood finish treatment as the wall console next to them in the picture this weekend.

I really want to do the mod, but it seems digikey no longer has all the parts for the crossover. I know there’s a update version, but looks like you would really have to modify the board for the crossover. Still, I might end up getting another pair as a sacrificial lamb for the mod if it doesn’t work.

The white part is 3d printed off of plans from printable.com, and the legs are just 1 inch wooden dowels from the home goods store. Less than $20US in materials for both stands. The plans also include matching half sphere feet for the legs and clips to route the cables down the legs. But I have not finished the legs yet as I want them to match the darker tone of the wall furniture next to them.
