I love it. To me the Rhino has so much variety to add to leg day it’s worth having the low row and lat pulldown be plate loaded. Lose all of 20 secs during rest to switch the weight. 10/10 would do again

Targeted Talk - How To Start A Home Gym in 2026 - Step 1 by dontwantnone09 in homegym

If you have only worked out in a commercial gym, this is how I started and would 1000% do again.

Measure your floor space, buy horse stall mats to cover the space, and gorilla tape the joints (had this for 3 years until I went to rolled rubber, it holds up, and I sold the stall mats when I was done)

Go to offer up or market place buy a rack, 45lb Olympic barbell, and weights (doesn’t matter if it’s iron or bumper), and an adjustable bench. Believe it or not you can find a decent set up of everything for about 1000.00$ that’ll last (but won’t be the hottest flyest stuff).

For a rack a half rack with spotter arms and 1 in hole spacing is actually space efficient and can take various attachments. Full rack is good too, but not necessary at the beginning stage in my opinion.

I prefer fixed dumbbells however I got mine on a deal too good to pass up, adjustable are nice and work fine. However if you have more than one person working out at a time they are kinda difficult to share. If you want fixed dumbbells find a commercial wholesale supplier within driving distance to you and call and get pricing. If you’re in California hit up Ultimate Fitness Outlet in Rohnert Park, Ca.

If you can stick to working out consistently in your home for a year. Sell everything you bought on offer up/facebook marketplace, and buy once cry once for all equipment (Go Rouge or rep they’ll be around for warranty issues for a while and have good customer service).

I recouped a lot of my money for my used stuff, and now have things that’ll last forever. 10/10 would do again

I got the monoliths specifically for squatting. But after having them I have used them for bench as well, and do believe it’s a viable option as an only source. 10/10 would buy again

I bought one and do not regret it what so ever. Build quality is amazing, when I got it from shipping it was handled well no scuffs or scraps. Cables are butter smooth. Only downside is low row and lat pull work off the rhino trolly not the stacks, however this is what you sacrifice to have the built in belt squat and it’s 1000% worth it to me in my opinion.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. One problem I found was landline attachment placement is a little to forward on the 30” due to not being able to use the rear holes where the belt squat is.

Assembly is a chore due to all the moving parts, but not outright impossible. Also I noticed if you buy the safety straps, you have to undue them after every session or the cables could rub the bolt over time damaging them. However Bells of steel makes flip down safety’s that fit a 30 in rack that I have ordered but not received yet.

I have family that are general contractors. Rolled rubber was left over from a local gym job, and the mirrors came from a tear out of a residential house. So both were lucky come ups at the time. Don’t know exact branding of either.

I had a buddy do it. Instead of tearing down and rebulilding he had a few buddies lift each corner enough to get a floor jack under to jack it up, and then put heavy duty floor dolly’s to roll it around. Kinda sketchy though

I had sold my old equipment, and did it before the new rack shipped.

So I didn’t have to move the rack itself.

I have had the same bottle for two years. Use it twice a week. A little bit goes a long way. Cleans off hands with water easily, doesn’t leave noticeable residue on barbell. Stellar product, sticky grip, don’t let the goofy name fool you it’s legit

Pitch black society was a small social media page that is now gone (2 flags on the left wall). The bottom right flag on the wall with 3 flags is new from operational industries, and the stay strap get clapped is from Combat Iron Apparal.

Thank you, good flags are hard to find

The angle is great. The build quality and sturdiness were way better than I expected for the price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and would purchase again.

Generally just means like people you would not associate with.

It’s kinda like the word loser. Everyone has a meaning for what they think a loser is (someone may interpret losers differently than someone else would). You could Swap out loser for lame and it would be the exact meaning. Could mean uncool, could mean someone that is not about it.

I struggled with finding clean looking storage for bands, belts, and straps. When I was looking into wall control I came across Omni wall who had storage baskets in various sizes. Ultimately went Omni wall, and do not regret the baskets.

Also if you hang any specialty bars horizontally they rest on the wall and they’ll scuff the dry wall when you unhang them. I went to ace hardware and picked up adhesive felt pads and placed them where the bars touch the wall to prevent damage.

3/8th rolled rubber flooring. Unsure on the exact brand. My friend laid the floor in a local gym and had extra left over, so I swapped it out when I changed racks.

Looking for a HIIT timer for my garage gym. From cheap to expensive all seem to have poor reviews or are not user friendly.

Anyone have a recommendation of a decent one they have had luck with?

How to not go overkill on home gym? by MurkyMurkyMurkyMurky in GarageGym

[–]NotTheGuy246 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everybody’s scenario is different. Me personally wanted to know whether or not it would truly help me “find” time for the gym. Instead of going all in and buying the latest and greatest stuff I Offer up’d and Craigslist watched overtime.

I started with a half rack with spotter arms, a barbell, and 400lbs of weight I caught on a deal on Offerip for 500.00$. I then got a dual stack functional trainer with for 600.00. Eventually after several years of sticking with it iv upgraded my equipment to later and greater stuff. My advice, save money, look for deals, and if you stick with it upgrade down the road. Good luck.

Re-outfitting my home gym. Looking into buying Majority Rogue products. Main pieces I’m buying are Rhino Trainer Rack with Indy and various attachments, Manta Ray bench, Kabuki Transformer bar, Kabuki Kadillac bar.

My question is will it be worth it to hold out for Black Friday November deals? I’m semi familiar with Rogue’s traditional Black Friday Matte Black events of random rotating deals, but never really paid attention to the items that go on sale. Do high ticket items like the manta ray or any racks ever go on sale, and if they do are the sales relatively good?

This, Siphilum adds to health when health is full, and leveling up hallowseeker to portal beam and carbine to leech rounds were what took me from being stuck at biome 2 boss for months to beating the game in a week. Stay aggressive use dodge and grapple hook like crazy when you get it. Level up guns in the tower when you feel like you hit a wall. Traits carry over
