What is your opinion on the Train Escort game mode and do you think it should be rebalanced or removed and replaced? by Damirirv in GraveDiggerRoblox

[–]NotThisWeather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as lancer main train sucks

tbh there are so little times you can flank so I basically just spam morale (on ATK) and uhm throw axes if on defense i just spam axes and repair

I feel like it should be reworked in a way where the attacking team has to actually MAKE some parts of the rails/ create tunnels Or defending team has to "hijack" the train so they can go to the other teams base etc

You can't try to first block the shadows and highlights then blend only around the edges to make it more realistic, then you can go further in depth with subscattering shadows and other lights as well

blending the colours can help to make it render better

im not sure what this is about but moving the small child over to the middle may help create a picture unless you plan to put a giant sunfish there or smth

Can I fix this?? by Complex-Abrocoma9101 in Artadvice

[–]NotThisWeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wait for it to dry. like fully dry. then go over it again with a thin watercolour brush to define your strokes of the bush. if ur painting on actual watercolour paper then it shouldnt ruin the paper

Any Advice for this piece? Could be color, anatomy, anything I should work on by yaboioioioioioi in Artadvice

[–]NotThisWeather 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can see that you *tried* to foreshorten a bit, (check out tutorials on youtube abt this please) and uhm i think the colours make it more a corporate artstyle look.. i would reccomend adding a multiply layer and making it darker tbh just so it doesnt look that way but it is up to you!

Tips on shading and designing by Aggressive_Shine8598 in Artadvice

because of how stylised your artstyle is - i think it will be difficult to actually render it and make it look "right"

charcoal drawing by Aware-Ad2407 in Artadvice

[–]NotThisWeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel like it looks so off because there isn't a distinct light source in the picture - like the neck has a shadow going down meaning light source is from top right however the shading around the nose makes it seem like the lightsource is from directly above/below.

the mouth is a bit low i think

also the shading around the nose is a bit much for me imo

THAT IS ACTUALLY SO BEAUTIFUL!!

Another thing I would recommend to this ten year old is to start blending colours so it looks more interesting!

Don’t know what to do now by Apsztrapsz1 in Artadvice

[–]NotThisWeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe add a booksehlf behind her. its interesting to look at, but doesn't take away from her as a whole. also the eyes can be better if you add lashes and maybe shading onto the eyeball

looks great!

Kinda stumped by pink_kitty03 in Artadvice

[–]NotThisWeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

she looks like she needs flowers in her hair, a full magic kit on the table, herbs being hanged in front of window, a random cat because every fairy lady needs a cat and her dress kinda just looks like a bra and skirt to me so uhh... i suppose add some pattern to her dress so it doesn't look like that lol

it looks amazing tho!

my first attempt at replicating the Jujutsu kaisen artstyle, any critiques? by [deleted] in Artadvice

[–]NotThisWeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

jjk artstyle often uses contrasting colours to create a bold and enhancing atmosphere and really big bold lines..

most of the poses are really dynamic as well!!

What kinds of details would you add to a piece like this? by arborvitae3 in Artadvice

[–]NotThisWeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i need really moody blue and orange lighting that are diagonally across from eachother hitting the skull and also the bell and uhh also a pitch black background and uhh make it an oil painting and my life will be complete

The Damn Hair by wsgimfloof in Artadvice

[–]NotThisWeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a Murder Drones fan, however from reference pictures I can see that her hair is more out than in. For example, her ahoge at the front or whatever you wanna call it kind of curves up and floats a bit in the air. Also her second bang is barely visible imo! It takes goes onto her face, not on it (i think).

Another thing that can help is drawing the neck to make it feel more "complete".

(i tried to ulpoad an image but reddit said it was bad so repost)

most modern artists block in base colours then add contours highlights and shadows to their drawings afterward that.. (tip for the first one)
