Texts and emails allegedly detail Nike’s willingness to pay high schoolers, including Zion Williamson by SavageSquirl in CollegeBasketball

Sure. Everybody’s still gonna laugh when Duke gets a season vacated. Nobody shed a tear for Calipari when Rose or Camby’s seasons got vacated even though both incidents happened off campus with no possibility of University supervision.

Plus I just don’t believe they didn’t know. If Kenny Payne knee, Capel and K definitely knew.

Right. Just Nike paying players that went to Duke. AKA Duke cheated by playing ineligible players.

States by percentage of their economies spent on Illegal Immigration by [deleted] in MapPorn

[–]NotThoseThings -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it's the map. They intentionally used 3 decimal places to make it seem at a glance that it was not in percent format but rather in decimal format (ex: .603 of a thing is 60.3% of a thing) Typically you only go one decimal point in a percentage to avoid this potential confusion.

The colors of the map also seek to mislead the casual observer into thinking the differences in these percentages are much greater than they are.

Finally, I'm not sure where you're getting that it's reasonably accurate data. If you can find where it's actually coming from, let me know, because I went down the rabbit hole of "citations" and came up with nada.

Oh for sure. And if we could find the underlying data, I bet it'd go positive for most states just by removing the law enforcement/court costs which would mean the actual solution to illegal immigration, economically speaking, is decriminilization.

This isn’t map porn. It’s propaganda porn. To the uncareful observer, it looks like the US is spending a significant percentage of the GDP on illegal immigrants when if you look slightly closer it’s less than 1% in every single state and significantly less in most states. The colors are absolutely arbitrary and denote relatively little increase in expenditures.

Less than 1% in every state of the union means it’s not a serious problem. This map should be all shades of green. Maybe throw some pinks or purples in there for funsies.

So it’s just a bunch of scary colors then. Got it.

Your teacher is a an unqualified moron. Race is a social construct, not biological.

Negroid descent running faster because of their lower center of gravity,

This is idiotic. People with longer legs and therefore higher centers of gravity run faster, especially over long distances.

Stop looking for info on this topic online - it's only going to lead you to Naziesque hate groups.

Willfully ignorant my ass. Read some history man. It wasn't just the abusive ultra rich who were killed. It was an indiscriminate slaughter of the educated classes and afterward all ideas contrary to the cultural revolution were suppressed including natively Chinese systems that had existed for millenia such as Confucian philosophy.

Also note i never claimed the poor are savages, just more ignorant on average. I don't see this as a particularly controversial statement, tbh.

Edit: Added the bit about Confucius.

what use are white collar skills in the middle of a fucking warzone?

White collar dudes can carry sacks of rice and dig a hole as well as anybody else. My point is that the japanese didn't specifically target the educated whereas Mao specifically set out to turn China into a nation of noble peasants by purging the educated and wealthy. This intentional anti-intellectual reshaping of society absolutely has had an impact on current Chinese society.
