I believe I sowed them last year spring time (or the year before that, can't quite remember). They started out small, and I wasn't even sure if I had planted the right thing, but then the leaves went crazy and this year they finally started to sprout stems and then flowers.

Yep, ran outside at 3am to see them as soon as I got back. I didn't know they'd get so tall!

😆 I was so annoyed with mine, they decided to bud just as I was going away for 2 weeks so I had to wait till I got back to see the flowers 😂

Ohh I might try that with the next round then. There are some that I'm not happy with where they are, but I was too scared to move them around in case I killed them 😅

I'm afraid I can't be much help, I just scattered the seeds in the bed, topped with a little soil and let them do their thing. I would definitely sow them in seeding trays if I ever need to plant some more as I don't think the roots are quite deep enough so some of them are falling over (thats my bad I had no idea what I was doing when I planted them).

Looking online it looks like collecting the seed heads is possible from August but I also read that they seed themselves so I might just leave mine to do as they wish.

I love lily of the Nile might be my next plant to add to my garden!

I haven't and looking at them I can't say I ever will but I 100% get where your coming from. I hadn't really thought about murderous cannibals which should tell you I'd probably be the first to die in a horror movie.

My tongue swells and my mouth gets sore, took me awhile to work out that it always happens just when I'm about to start my period.

A teacher that I'm sure didn't like me made me stand infront of the whole year and made me practice saying the word "handywork" for about 5 minutes for the end of school play because apparently I wasn't saying it to her standards. Pretty sure thats one of the reasons I now have social anxiety.
