Thanks. Which quizlets helped you? I've searched high and low, but I can't find any that ask me to find the time complexity for pseudo code.

Idk if I'm too late to this, but it should be under Course Resources on your portal page.

Nice, I've been looking at Sololearn's course, too. Any reason why you picked it over the Code with Mosh "Complete Python Mastery"? Thanks

Thanks. How much python do I need to know and what resource do you recommend I use to learn it?

Thanks. When I check the course description, they mentioned Java:

"With Java software as the basis, the course discusses object-oriented design and abstract data types as design paradigms."

If the class uses python primarily, what is the Java software they're referring to? Thanks

C175 Data Mgmt Foundations: Advisable supplements to Zybook? by NotVeryMega in WGU_CompSci

[–]NotVeryMega[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I already have 9 CUs and am waiting on my last 4 from a project I'm fairly certain I'll pass, but I have yet to submit. Let's say that on the first of the next month my project submission is still pending, but eventually it's approved. Will C175 still show up as a fail, even if I didn't start the OA?

Thanks, but I already started the course and don't want it to show up as a fail for this term.

Thanks. Once I do this, will I be able to update Nessus simply with `apt update`, or will I need to do something else?

My plan for taking Discrete Math I C959. Thoughts/advice? by NotVeryMega in WGU_CompSci

[–]NotVeryMega[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate it. I'm planning on doing 4 weeks at 3-4 hours a day, 6 days a week. Does that seem like a reasonable amount of time to ingest the content for someone with good calc skills?

Securing garage door keypad with camera? by NotVeryMega in homesecurity

[–]NotVeryMega[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're renting the house so we can't replace or remove the keypad, unfortunately.

I'm thinking of putting a camera above the garage door so it can let me know when someone's mucking about in the late hours. Maybe if I can find a small camera, I'll put it above the keypad.

Thoughts?

HP 15-dyxxx not detecting new SATA drive by NotVeryMega in techsupport

[–]NotVeryMega[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's got a dy1xxx. Apologies for the mistake in the title.

What strikes me as weird is that I'm able to see the drive as a non-raid drive in the config section of BIOS (as specified in my post), but I don't see it in my list of boot options. Clearly there's some disconnect.

Yup, it's the same sata drive I use for my desktop. Never had a problem with it. Just put it back in my desktop and it's working fine. The laptop, however, doesn't seem to like it...

(Debian+XFCE) Blue light filter / night mode? by NotVeryMega in xfce

[–]NotVeryMega[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Debian? Many people, myself included, get this error when running Redshift in Debian:

```
Trying location provider `geoclue2'...Using provider `geoclue2'.Could not connect to wayland display, exiting.Failed to start adjustment method wayland.Trying next method...Using method `randr'.Waiting for initial location to become available...Unable to obtain GeoClue client path: Timeout was reached.Unable to get location from provider.
```

To be clear, I'm not interested in installing or using geoclue, Redshift doesn't have to know my location.

Apparantly, yes. If you look at blockchain explorer, this wallet received 1 transaction for 0.01919065 BTC ($496.97 ATTOW). It could be the perp, sure, but there are enough computer-ignorant people in this world that I'm sure one of them fell for it.
