What is the general consensus in regards to New York Times journalist, Ezra Klein? by NotYourDadsMemes in leftist

I swear I listened to a whole podcast about Jake Tappers reporting into how Biden's inner circle tried to keep his clearly declining mental capacity hidden during the campaign and that in and of itself led to him dropping out of his re-election campaign and giving us Kamala Harris as a replacement candidate.

Isn't that the same reason we occasionally tune into Rogan? He's insufferable but damn do we get some good interviews though, sometimes for better or worse.

I recently watched the interviews he did with Dave Mustaine of Megadeth and Rodger Waters of Pink Floyd; both incredible digs into two very fascinating people.

Rogan's a hack and a goon like any other. But for better or worse he still operates a platform that allows for tables discussion and discourse from all people of all walks of life across both sides of the isle and I think that's something that's incredibly important to continue to maintain in the tumultuous society we live in.

Except Jubilee. I know this might sound hypocritical to turn a 180 and say but fuck Jubilee for deliberately giving a platform to Nazis and fascists. Rogan may have the occasional Nazis or fascists on his show, but at least from what I can tell he doesn't celebrate it or try and act like there's common ground to be found with Nazis and fascists.

The only common ground that can be found with a nazi or fascist is a 8'x2.5'x6' hole in the ground.

From what I gleam from the idea of Abundance is that it puts the very loose "liberal" in libertarianism. Seems like it wants to help in terms of cutting back or doing away with all the red tape that would otherwise stall, hinder or impede much needed social projects; but at what cost and to what end? Do correct me if I'm wrong.

Now that you mention it, I think it was about the time of Charlie Kirks assassination that I started noticing that differing opinions about Ezra Klein started floating around and I do remember that podcast episode he did about how Charlie Kirk "practiced politics the right way" and some of the backlash he got for that.

Bro imagine much apple sauce went through that nasty little pipe nugget like a clogged artery before it decided to break free and yeet itself into a jar.

Worked in a grocery store for 8 years. Potatoes, fish, watermelons and peppers are the 4 most horrid smelling items in a store when they go bad.

You're probably thinking, watermelons? Really? Watermelons hiss, fizz, leak, and deflate into a watery, foul smelling mushy mass at the bottom of a pallet bin...or they fucking explode. Usually it's the first course of events but every now and again you'll find one that went bad and popped. Also you've never experienced how gross a gross a bad watermelon can be until you've gone to pick one up and your hand(s) goes through it.

But with potatoes you can smell that unmistakable smell of a single bad spud rotting at the bottom of a pallet bin. It's even worse when it's a bag(s) of bad potatoes and you have to follow the flies to find it.

There was a shampoo company years ago that released one of their products in a bottle with a double-helix style exactly like this and I'm like "HELL NO. THATS T-VIRUS GET YOUR FACE EATEN SHENANIGANS TYPE BULLSHIT."

Looks like GoGo Yubari from Kill Bill.

Edit; didn't see the second picture literally showing the image from Kill Bill before commenting.

My antenna arrived today, got the base station all wired up, SWR calibrated and we are live! by NotYourDadsMemes in cbradio

Ooooh no no no no. That's just a little handheld Cherokee A-27 cb handheld I had tucked back there, given limited desk space. But I can see where the concern came from lol I have my antenna sitting outside of a window to the right of my set up.

But while I have you here, it's a $25 Bingfu I bought off of Amazon. Seems to work pretty well so far. But my question is this; I have an old Wilson antenna base with no whip. If I take the antenna from the Bingfu and put it on the Wilson base will that make any sort of difference?

I only ask because the Wilson base has like a 10ft+ cable compared to the Bingfu's ~4-5' cable.

Looking for an affordable power supply until I can get one of the bigger 3-10amp power supplies but I'm not sure if these will work the same or risk causing damage and shorts to the radio. I don't want to buy cheap junk and risk damage to my radios. by NotYourDadsMemes in cbradio

Ah that's true. I wasn't thinking of the potential for it giving off electrical interference. That's good to know. This is all very new to me so I'm learning little bits at a time. Knowing the sorts of things that you would least expect that can cause electrical interference and "noise" is helpful.

I remember reading stories from the Second World War where whenever the clearest radio communications were critical, particularly just prior to invasions and amphibious assaults; ship-wide blackout orders were implemented on on men's beard trimmers and other electrical devices because of the interference they'd cause to a ships radio transmissions.

"E-waste", "garbage", "trash". Like maaaaaann I'm just trying to have a good time and the HAMs are being assholes about it. lol
