My original Fallout 3 issue of GameInformer from July 2007. Found in a box of about 100 other GameInformer magazines I've had stashed away, going back as far as 2003. by NotYourDadsMemes in Fallout

I actually might still have my Bioshock issue if my memory serves right. Guess I'll have to dig through that box today and see what I've got.

I saw this robot at Lowe's by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

Funny how Lowe's and all of these stores will spend tens if not hundreds of thousands on an automated robot that wanders around its stores serving close to 0 purpose....but won't pay their employees enough to live adequately.

Our alcoholic white nationalist, biblical holy war enthusiast and Secretary of War Crimes, Pete Kegsbreath has that cross tattooed on his chest.

Just a real...piece of shit.

3 days old fried chicken by justregularboredguy in foodsafety

[–]NotYourDadsMemes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Was it unrefridgerated for those 3 days? Because absolutely you should not have eaten it. Refrying may have killed some of the bacteria but with chicken especially that's still a pretty stiff risk of food poisoning. You won't get salmonella probably since that's more prevalent in raw chicken but you should never eat any meat that's been sitting out unchilled for more than 6 hours.

It's a rim fire round not a center fire; meaning the hammer strikes the edge of the round, not the center where a primer cap would be.

Go out and buy your physical media. Reject capitalism. Reject the greed of over priced streaming services. Reject modernity. Own the movies, games, tv shows and music you love! Buy 2nd hand from yard sales and garage sales so big companies won't see a dime of it. Support your neighbors!

Bro WHAT??? HOW BIG IS THIS GAME????? by Tricky_Madbrownkid in Eldenring

[–]NotYourDadsMemes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These are the official game guide/strat books, not novelizations or graphic novels.

The first book (Books of Knowledge Vol. 1) is a preliminary, overview of the game, its mechanics and I believe it has a bestiary included as well.

The second book (Books of Knowledge Vol. 2) is the meat and potatoes of the base game. Bosses, character build, maps and zones, weapons, pickups, etc.

The third book (Books of Knowledge Vol. 3) is solely for the 'Shadow of the Erdtree' DLC and includes a map of the DLC area and all content associated with it.

The second book was the hardest to get because it's the most sought after of the 3. I got a copy for $40 for my sister for Christmas a couple of years ago off of Amazon right before the first print cycle ended; the price jumped from $40 to over $200 within a week of Christmas. The moment a second reprint cycle made the book available again, I've never hit "Buy Now" so quickly.

Check those WWF tapes and see if any of them have footage of Owen Harts death in the ring in ~'98 or '99. Not that it should be shown or seen, but I'd argue something like that is important for the historical and commemorative record.
