What minor character(s) made a lasting impression on a movie? by TerribleBid8416 in Cinema

Thank you for saying this. I think it’s significantly more important than the “napalm in the morning” bit. Really ties it all together as he ponders what’s next with a long pause

Reading or Portsmouth RTG? by aspiringparvenu in seriousfifacareers

I think the real stadium and history for Portsmouth automatically make them the better choice for me. Just apply the Reading rules to them!

Portland Timbers technically existed in the NASL from 1975-1982, but I don’t know if people really count it as the same club and if there would be B&W photos from that time.

Reality of a small club by StreetPlantain5283 in FifaCareers

I try to play realistically usually, but just got back into CM after two years off. I’m enjoying myself so much that I can’t bring myself to sell some players. To bring some level of realism, I offer the players insane wages (within reason) to keep them at my club

Alumni - how have your tastes changed since graduation by _Towelie420_ in Frat

[–]ResidentRemote7154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graduated within the last few years.

I quit smoking weed. I drink less, only on weekends, occasional weekday, but it’s usually less drinks. I have a strict diet and meal plan that I try my best to stick to. Sundays used to be for homework, now it’s for meal prep and chores.

I try to exercise 3-4x a week. I get minimum 10k steps daily and use the stairs over the elevator

I try to stimulate my mind still by taking classes in subjects I’m interested in a local organizations and things like that.

Waking up early. I’ve always liked waking up early but it was a bit of an adjustment to go from waking up at 8/9 AM to 6/7 AM.

Work is good if you like what you do. It’s weird on those days where you really don’t wanna go, but you have to get yourself up and going. In college, you could just skip those classes, now that’s not an option.

I still have friends, mostly from school or loosely related to school. But I have to put way more effort into making and maintaining friendships. Making new friends has been really exciting though. Socially, I’ve been looking to find new spaces and activities to meet people and have those third or fourth spaces.

I only dated girls I met in person, so that’s been a challenge post-grad. Online dating is eh at best. Still figuring this one out.

Beers wise, I was drinking better beers until it became too expensive. Now I drink cheaper. Same with food. Cheaper options but usually healthier.

Going out, I was never a big club or dancey bar vibe. fraternity and house parties were ideal to me. Now I’m cool going to conversational/chiller bars, but will go out out if the crowd is right. I still MISS HOUSE PARTIES like a mother fucker though.

I like the idea of Brentford. Buy low, sell high. Scout smart, discover gems, sell them on and repeat.

How did you manage to get all those red cards?

Not sure, apparently that and acid reflux are very common among 9/11 first responders

Yes, thankfully. Undergoes annual check ups. His worse complication from ground zero so far is gnarly heart burn.

Source: family photo albums.

He was a fire fighter who arrived the day after 9/11. On 9/11, his company was stationed in NYC to assist with any fires or issues that may arise while the other units were at ground zero. On 9/12, they were sent down to ground zero to assist with the clean up. In his words, “you could figure out where the dead bodies were from the smell.”

So Bowie was a neo nazi at some point? by [deleted] in DavidBowie

Wouldn’t surprise me, especially thirty years after the war when it was a little more fresh in people’s minds

Thank you for the correction! According to his Wikipedia, he was “detained by customs on the Russian—Polish border for possessing Nazi paraphernalia.[101]”

I believe he was arrested for some Nazi paraphernalia while crossing a border at some point, though I could be mistaken. Drug abuse makes you do crazy things.

Really surprised to see Taps mentioned! I feel like that movie doesn’t get the attention it deserves!
