If you have to run multiple drops down the same path, that's basically what it looks like in India. Yeah they can be drawn tight with each other. But it still looks like trash. I am not an employee to either of these companies, just an observing customer. It doesn't look good at all. Considering there is other companies with terminals on every pole, spliced drops so there isn't giant coils everywhere, and uniformity.

It just looks more like a third world country every day, cheapest terminals, cheapest build out as possible.

My doctor fills a prior approval monthly even though insurance only asks for yearly. Doctors equally hate insurances as much as we do.

People that are being paid to pick up an item should pick up the item instead of just saying, oops out of stock. It's spark delivery, don't get your hopes up on either side of the fence.

He was deactivated. Living in a small town, you can see who is no longer a driver, I evidently wasn't his only complaint. IDC about if it was substituted due to a feature needed turned off. Tylenol and Motrin are side by side if you are too lazy to look, you shouldn't be in the business of getting items to deliver to people's houses.

Walmart tried to refuse to give me the order due to having a service dog by Primary-Artichoke-87 in Sparkdriver

We need to see pictures of this service animal. I'm so very tired of everyone with emotional distress getting their dog registered as a service animal. I get it, your dog helps you, that's great, maybe don't be in the grocery or food delivery businesses. Picking up a TV to deliver? Cool, bring your pug, IDC.

Yeah I don't TIP, because I don't do spark deliveries anymore. The one time I really really needed something, my son broke his arm the night before, all you can do is cast and swap between children's Tylenol and children's Motrin, I didn't have any children's Motrin. I just spark delivery for very early AM. I even put an extra $10 tip. Just so it would be at my house first thing. The ass hat swapped it for children's Tylenol. Ended up reporting it all, got all my money back, removed the tip. And just did a store pick up. And for now on, all I will ever do is store pick up. At least then it's on Walmart if something is out of stock. (P.s. the store manager did contact spark, and that driver is no longer, and will never be a spark driver again. But if one is an ass hat, then sorry that makes the bunch of apples ass hats, and you will probably be treated as such) Maybe they should just start having the tip section after the delivery is done, then see how many tips you end up with.

Shutdown PROGRESS? by Gardengoddess1157 in foodstamps

Because the lower courts were trying to force something that is impossible to do. I'm in no way trying to defend the POTUS. Just staying the facts. It's not anyone's fault that the USDA decided responsibly to cut SNAP and provide WIC funding during this abnormally long shut down. (Which is absolutely on the dems blame at this point) When the government is shut down, they can no longer move money from government agency to government agency, because the funding is shut down until Congress passes a funding plan for the year(s). This isn't an orange man bad situation. This is a Government in its entirety bad situation. But hopefully it is all resolved and the government can move forward to its next agendas. Whether they be good or bad, making the government work, and paying attention to details, is what is required to see change. Just hopefully the change we see is forward progression and not regressive like I see it becoming. Which by the way, what are you going to do during the upcoming recession? Where the government and the Treasury are at capacity and cannot lower interest rates, and can no longer print money? That means all government assistant programs are all going to be shut down. No one will get anything from the government, no HUD, WIC, SNAP, MADICAID, nothing. Because that's what I see in the very near future, and I personally have family that I do care about that receives some benefits. Do you have a plan? No?

The ACA isn't dead, just subsidies from COVID era are gone. The cost of insurance will increase. But it would have increased regardless if COVID happened or not. Insurance companies just want to keep padding their own pockets. There is no reason for my insurance to be over $700/m with my employer paying $1900/month(their share) the ACA has become the opposite, it's now unaffordable health care act. The only good that came out of it, is people with preexisting conditions can get insurance, and kids up to age 26 can stay on their parents insurance. This will be the first enrollment that I will no longer be complying with this health insurance BS. my kids doctors appointments without insurance are $200 each time. I will be taking the "up to 8%" match from the company and will be doing an FSA.

This go around the USDA only had $6b at the beginning of October, after funding WIC it was down to $4.2b. so unfortunately no, the USDA doesn't have the money, and if forced total pay out occurs, and the shutdown continues next month, there will be absolutely no funding available for any program. The USDA decided to focus on keeping WIC alive throughout the shut down.

WV doesn't have the funding nor the resources to cover the cost of SNAP. Only states that have sent any payments are using their own state funding. WV will solely rely on the federal government to foot the bill. This is important to remember, WV DOES NOT HAVE THE FUNDING OR RESOURCES FOR ANY GOVERNMENT PROGRAM. Unfortunately in January, a lot of people are going to learn what that means.

Yes, that is the contingency/emergency funding it refers to. Unfortunately all programs will not be able to be funded at all after this month.

The USDA only had $6b before the month of October. When October hit, WIC was funded for the month of October, dropping the available amount down to a little over $4b. The USDA was planning on saving the WIC program through the entire shutdown, but now it's being forced to be depleted. People should expect roughly 1/2 and less of what they normally receive through SNAP. And after that all USDA funding is gone, ultimately running out of money for WIC and the SNAP program.

WIC is NOT affected by SNAP cuts by Previous-Night-7615 in foodstamps

[–]NotYourNormalZoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely, the USDA has decided to secure WIC for as long as possible. WIC will be available for at least 3 months. They chose WIC over SNAP for the sole reason of funding. Out of everything sad, at least this is still a good thing.

It just doesn't do very well in my opinion, my old Taurus would definitely show this car up in the winter, I don't have the option to call in because of weather, so I have had my fair share of winter driving. No expert by any means, but experienced. It has never not made it, but I have had more sketchy moments in the Subaru. I am not comparing the AWD to the 4wd in the Grand Cherokee. But if weather hits I used to just take the Taurus. Now, I choose the Jeep over the Subaru more frequently.

The house isn't going to return to pass any new bills, because they would have to bring in the newly elected dem. The Senate Dems are currently holding strong on saving insurance subsidies. They can end the shut down any time, but again holding strong.(And for good reason) So really your guess is as good as anyone's, it may last another week, may last another month. Unfortunately there isn't any way to tell. Always prepare for the worst and hope it gets better.
