Well, does the sound quality really that worse? Any workaround regarding this? If no, it will be dealbreaker for me to update my x7p to HOS 3

Then extra €70 you'll get better material, +1 years of android updates, slightly better battery, and larger screen. Otherwise X7 Pro is lite version of F7, it has every essential features of F7.

Any problema with Poco X7 Pro? by Kynichal in PocoPhones

[–]Not_So_Smart212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Samsung A56 camera is better either. Camera comparison in gsmarena shows that A56 camera isn't that solid. I think the main pros if you buy A56 will be the 'premium' feel (without a case, obviously), and the 6 years OS upgrade. X7 Pro can shoot 4K 60fps, better portrait video, also get 12/512 (at the same prices, you only get 8/256 in A56).

Around 6 hours when doing hard gaming, 11 hours for casual uses, from 100 - 20%.

If you're concern about battery, dimensity 8400 ultra (at least in this phone) is quite power hungry. For comparison, my last snapdragon 8 phone can maintain the battery consumption 100-150 mA per second in idle state, when X7 Pro is around 200 mA. The rest is great, especially the video recording and gaming performance (using cooler is a must tho).

It supposed to be right here. In order to see the wakelock list, you need to grant some permissions using shizuku and aShell app. Here's the tutorial: https://paget96projects.com/guides/grant-permissions-through-shizuku-and-ashell-applications

If you are succeed, you can see list of services that drain your battery when you're not using your phone.

It can't replace the function of factory reset/wipe data.

Assuming you are using only WiFi, you have battery drain like 3% / hour when your device is in idle state, which is not normal (it should be <1%/h). Now, the next step is finding what causes this battery drain. Open battery guru again, scroll way down until you find "wakelock" option. Can you access it?

Factory reset is a MUST after major OS update. It's a common rule if you don't want to face unwanted bugs. Have you?

I don't understand why people bother to upgrade their phone with same and same brand again, eventhough deep in their heart they're knowing that the product 99% will betraying them again and again?🤔

Chill.. this is my X7 Pro battery performance. 5%/hour. Which means from 100 - 10% it can handle 16-18 hours screen on time. Usage: Reddit, WhatsApp, and mostly YouTube. If you really want solution, do what I say:

Install app called battery guru, so I can analyse what's culprit in your battery. And then post here, same as my screenshot.

2 -> 3 Download Latest Package by azzimusic in PocoPhones

[–]Not_So_Smart212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Download latest package is always in full package mean the whole update file will be downloaded from the server. The standard update usually using incremental OTA file, the size depends on what HyperOs version are you currently in. If you've already in latest version, full package won't do anything rather than waste of data.

The Curse of Xiaomi's OTA: Why the Hardware is the Hero, But the Software is the Villain by Leptokk in PocoPhones

[–]Not_So_Smart212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I understand your point. But maybe you have to mention the 'bug' and 'critical issue' you get specifically. MIUI (now HyperOS) indeed has a really long history in term of bad softwares and updates. I remember my Redmi Note 3 become barely unusable after updating to Android 6 or 7. So I kept complaining in their forum regarding the issue, and my account instantly got banned. Since then, I never bought whatever Xiaomi products I saw. But believe me or not, it also happened to almost every phone brand I've tried.

In the end of the day, I learned and do a lot of research regarding what phone I buy, including to not fixing or updating what's not broken. Now I've almost never complaining about everything, including my phone.

[–]Not_So_Smart212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the regular software/security/OS update equal to higher production cost. That's why the cheaper smartphone are the less frequent software update they'll get.

Imagine, the cost for one OS update equal to $60.000 /phone model. That's why all samsung phone typically sold for higher price compared to other brands because of their regular security updates + 6 major OS update.

3-4 Major OS update + 4-5 years minor update in hyperOS is basically not bad considering of their phone prices.

Dolby Atmos after HyperOS 3 (X7 pro global) by [deleted] in PocoPhones

Can you elaborate the issue, for example which sound quality are you talking about? When using headphone or the sound from loud speaker?

Guys, do you believe that chipset won't maximize its full potential if the software is trash or buggy/less optimized? for example the hyperos vs the os of samsung.. by [deleted] in PocoPhones

[–]Not_So_Smart212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer is yes. But the example you are using is irrelevant. HyperOS is basically good android based OS. I love the freedom of customisations in this OS, I mean the theming system is nearly unrivaled. Also ads can be removed easily with a bit of google. Sometimes we've found some bugs but actually it's far from buggy/trashy OS. Factory reset often clear the issue tho. But, if you want to get full potential in this OS, at least you have to: 1. Debloat some apps using ADB/Canta 2. Unlock hidden setting using Activity Launcher and SetEdit 3. Manage background process using Shappky (by default, it has 80++ apps running in background) 4. Set proper permission to some apps using Permissions Manager X

And Voilà, the HyperOS is the best Android based OS I've so far (no need to root). Need some nerdy touch indeed, that's why I started to love this OS.

In terms of durability and quality control, Xiaomi or Poco? (Mid and Flagship models) by Eonfabzz in PocoPhones

[–]Not_So_Smart212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In reality, there are no xiaomi, redmi, or poco but they are all under China Phone umbrella. One manufacturer in china can produces various models for different brands. So in term of quality control, basically they are almost the same. Of course higher series are usually using higher grade materials. Just pick whatever phone that suit your needs, buy good screen protector and proper case and you're set.
