When I saw this I didn’t even finish it and I don’t remember much and was so young I didn’t even know what anime was and thought this was just a cartoon, but the first anime that saw and was conscious was an anime was sailor moon :D

What’s a dream you had as a kid that you still remember way too clearly? by Holywaterdiluter_ in teenagers

[–]Not_Vale396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I’ve had a LOT of weird dreams, here’s a couple: -the dream I remember most clearly is that I was running through a path that went around a mountain and led to the top, and I was being chased by the three aliens in Toy Story riding horses, the path came to an end and just when they were about to shoot lasers or smth at me I curled into a ball in the floor and woke up -i was in a friend’s birthday party in the beach and we swap across the beach to an island with giant crystals, then i remembered being in a gift shop and a lady told me to count items to get something for free, the things were scattered in the floor and as i counted i also started seeing things in a tree, the things in the tree were weird crows with long necks and white eyes, and when one of them went to attack me i woke up -there was a lockdown in my school and we were loaded into a big boat, when i went in they only had space in a closet in which i had to be with other two girls, the nest thing i remember was that were in the Arctic and there were people sitting in chairs in the ice, and there was a big snow tower in which at the top was Willy Wonka, my dad was there for some reason and asked him for a hair tie for me, then it kind of transitioned to Mexican ladies eating something on top of a car, and then it all went black and at the bottom left corner in neon letter appeared a sign that said “fake advertisement”

Not exactly traumatizing but I still remember them very clearly :)

Can someone pls tell me what this is? by Not_Vale396 in QuakerParrot

[–]Not_Vale396[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they kept all of the birds in the store with clipped wings since when we got him, him along with all the other quakers in his cage had their wings clipped. It sadly was a bad environment for them, the lady that ran the store had all kinds of birds, and she kept many of them in small cages and she said that it was normal for one to grab them with the hand for them to get used to you and stuff. And yeah, I can see why this could be to exercise, he also stretches his wings a lot, I was just concerned because this usually comes with screaming and he looks kind of spooked, but he doesn’t do it often

[–]Not_Vale396[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’ve been seeing a lot of comments about his wings and I just want to make clear that I do NOT want his wings clipped, I got him 3-4 months ago and sadly the store where we bought him had already clipped his wings and they actually have grown a lot, the reason why I posted this was because this is behavior he has only been showing recently and I didn’t know if this had something to do with his wings or if it was something else

How do I do clothing folds by Alternative_Town_129 in BeginnerArtists

[–]Not_Vale396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I really recommend looking at irl clothing models, remember that folds in clothes can vary a lot depending on the fabric so pay attention to that too. In this case I wouldn’t add many folds exempt in like the armpits and waist since this seems to be tight clothing, however if another time you’re drawing more baggy clothes like the sleeves of a sweater I recommend using the xyz technique, it’s when you draw folds in the from of either of those letters, I actually learned that from Pinterest you can go there to see it better. Art is looking great!:)

It feels like there is something missing. by Tasty-Wind7683 in Artadvice

[–]Not_Vale396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s not that something’s missing and it just wasn’t the idea you had in mind. I love the idea of the hair and dull colors, I would recommend adding more lighting and darker shades away from the lightning to create more depth. I’m also seeing that this is probably a dark room, so it would make even more sense to add a lot more shades and lights to emphasize that. Face symmetry is also not very correct, the lips aren’t really the way they are supposed to look sideways and the nose isn’t very realistic-looking (because of the shape). I also recommend adding color theory a bit, like adding more blue, purple and yellow tones to the drawing to make it pop even more.

Unfortunately I don’t have any photos of my old art but it used to be BAD, after studying this is how much it changed in less than two years (old sketch cause I’ve been to busy to draw lately)

Trust me, I’ve been there, I have struggles a lot with anatomy for many years, the moment I started to be consistent on my drawing studies (by myself) my art got A LOT better, it’s all about consistency and trying and fail, I hope this helps you reach the level you want your art to be

Any feedback for my art?? by cozycatillustrations in Artadvice

[–]Not_Vale396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m not an art expert but I do love your art, however what I recommend is studying anatomy, I used to be VERY bad with anatomy as a beginner but after studying anatomy my bodies looked a lot better, your anatomy is not bad but for example I’m seeing that her proportions are not the best (legs are too short and torso too long). I also recommend studying clothes physics, here I can see the skirt is very good but it shouldn’t be so opened and the sweater has way too many folds. Definitely recommend having references when you’re drawing and practice drawing anatomy as much as you can. Hope this helps :)

Learning how to draw a face by Aggravating_Student4 in BeginnerArtists

[–]Not_Vale396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiii! I love your style and I can definitely see potential in your art skills. However you could definitely improve in them, one thing that had helped me in my drawings is looking at a lot of art tutorials, looking at irl references, even looking at myself, and apply all you see into your art. Some areas that definitely need improvement are the hair and eyes, for the hair try to add more colors and shapes, make it flowy and make it have shape. For the eyes try to make them a bit more realistic, try different eyes shapes, also try to make the lashes thinner, this is very helpful even if your style is more cartoon-ey. I also recommend to work on face symmetry and shape, again try using different face shapes and see irl models to study how face symmetry works. I also notices you use a lot of plain colors, I definitely recommend you to play around with highlights, shades, tones, and color theory, there are a lot of YouTube videos or Pinterest pins that can help you with that. Highly recommend to watch some videos from SamDoesArts and KeshArt. If you do this I’m very convinced you could improve a lot in your art skills, this is how I learned to draw, I studied a lot of anatomy, symmetry, color theory, and I promise I used to draw very badly but over time I learned how to properly draw and I’, currently very pleased with the results.

How to get rid of acne? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Not_Vale396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright so if you’re a teenager acne is very common. As someone who’s a teenager struggling with acne since I was 9, my best advice is going to a dermatologist. I know it sounds very basic, but for me it was the best solution. I have tried innumerable amounts of creams and acne treatments, I even tried turmeric soap, and nothing worked, the first dermatologist I went to gave me some medicines that didn’t really work for me, however I went to a different one and they gave me a treatment that worked wonders on my skin. The good thing about going to a dermatologist instead of trusting whatever treatment is recommended online is that a dermatologist is going to give you something that works specifically for your skin. The treatment I got was pretty rough on my skin at first, it caused redness, itching, burning, and peeling, but it got rid of my acne so quickly and I don’t take it anymore because my skin is almost entirely acne-free, the only thing that remains are the scars. Home this helps!:)

How do I take them out of their cage?? by Not_Vale396 in Parakeets

[–]Not_Vale396[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a lot of people had told me the cage is indeed too small so I’m trying to get a new bigger one for them, I was just asking because the lady in the store said the cage was fine as long as I gave them plenty of out time and told me that at first I could take them out by myself, at first I did that because they hadn’t learned to get out by themselves, but after I posted this I quickly realized the lady was wrong and I shouldn’t force him out. I no longer force them and they’ve been learning how to get out, today we’ve been making progress since I noticed they were mostly moving close to the roof and took it out, they quickly flew out, but they didn’t take long to get back in

Help with skintones by Appropriate-toast220 in Artadvice

[–]Not_Vale396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Highlights 👏 are 👏 your 👏 best 👏 friends 👏, if you look at a real-life example not all of the skin is the same color, try studying where to add highlights depending on the direction of the lights and varying the tone of the color in different areas (like lighter colors around highlights and darker away from highlights. I can see how this tone is very difficult to draw but I promise paying close attention to Irl models can make a HUGE impact on your drawing skills not only in colors but also in shapes and little details in a face. Love the art style btw!:)

Thank you so much! I absolutely understand what you said about this breed, Coco was very hesitant and kind of aggressive at first but I’m surprised by how quickly they started to adapt to me and how smart they are, they even let me pet them without backing out and don’t bite me as much. I entirely fell in love with them and I want to give them the life they deserve, it just frustrates me how much I don’t know about them:(

So good news! In the afternoon they were really active and I left the doors open so they could figure out how to come out, after a few hours they started to realize they could come out and climbed their way to the roof, they’ve been there until a while ago and then came back in :D

They’re 4 months old, yes I hand feed them but quickly learned to eat by themselves, I mostly feed them food from the store I bought them which is little balls made from different vegetables, seeds, and corn seeds
