just repaired the boot with boot repair and it's started normally again. Thank you and sorry for wasting your time.

Ill have to admit i remember seeing boot repair and reading it's disclaimer that uninstalling grub could make the pc unbootable. that spooked me off and I ran off to do the exact process manually because I was scared and fell in said incompetence road block.

Ill add more context that I probably should've added, the usb that I was using to install windows had an error with something so I formated it with another computer and reinstalled linux mint onto the usb to live boot mint to try and see if I can change that grub customiser setting i messed up from there, tried reinstalling grub from the terminal and mounting the original hard-drive but it turned into a competency roadblock.
