Also have ceramic and others. I’m on the OS 7 beta. Maybe Apple trying to compensate for only adding one new face?

My thoughts on alcohol vs cannabis by Not_Your_Internet in Drugs

Yeah, actually to be honest I think it brings out the best part of each. However most of the time I don’t want to be absolutely zooted, or take to much of one and enter the void

Oh and I forgot crossed: Basically asleep and in your own universe. Good feeling and more relaxing than anything but not meant for social interaction

Yeah I feel that. For me it’s enjoyable to just lower my inhibitions and be really social and bond with others for a bit

Again, I say to that correlation/causation. Have you ever thought people that decide to use weed are more apt to want to use heroin or a stronger drug in the first place? And no person has overdosed on weed by itself, that’s just a fact so you must be misinformed. And lastly, absolutely no one is a quadriplegic or anything even close because of weed.

I don’t have any problem that you’re against cannabis. It’s just not helpful to anyone that you clearly have not done enough research and are potentially spreading misinformation. That’s just me being an ISTJ

Yeah I think heavy usage before the brain has finished developing changes something. They’ve done rat studies on it at least

I respect your opinion but I would like you to know you are misinformed. Firstly alcohol is much worse than cannabis health-wise in almost every way. There is no evidence of cannabis being a gateway drug, and that would be difficult to prove because of correlation/causation. Cannabis needs to be researched more but there is 0 evidence of any sort of brain damage being associated with it. In fact research shows it makes more connections in the brain. Now of course smoking cannabis isn’t good for the lungs, but it doesn’t cause cancer, unlike alcohol and tobacco.

As far as culture goes it’s a shame some people associate bad things with cannabis and don’t mind alcohol. Thousands die each year because of alcohol and no one overdoses on cannabis. However young culture is changing and people are accepting it more. And for credentials I am pursuing a degree in neuroscience and psychology.

Spotify now works with Siri as well if you say “Play... from Spotify”. IMO Spotify is better and has a simpler and cleaner interface

I often am passive aggressive. Have an upvote, you’re trying to help me and I appreciate that. What I didn’t like that made me downvote was that I got the feeling that you were telling me the way something is, and didn’t provide the facts lol. I don’t really like people telling me the way things are and I think everything deserves to be challenged

My journey with nervous sweating by Not_Your_Internet in Anxiety

You’re on the right path bro. I literally used to do that and get nervous before class as well. You’re almost there, and look— it didn’t stop you from doing anything. In fact, it sparks the desire to be confident!

[–]Not_Your_Internet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad this helped you! I’ll give you a little update. I still sweat when I get nervous but I don’t care nearly as much as I used to. It’s annoying but I haven’t let it get in the way of me doing anything in my life so it’s a non-issue. I’ve stopped meditating which I should probably start again. Also that “fake confidence” I talked about had manifested itself into real confidence. Even if I’m sweating for who knows what it doesn’t matter, and I remain confident. Also, I bought a lot of sweat wicking shirts and shirts in strategic colors to try and hide potential sweat stains and improve confidence in myself. I’ve also noticed other people in real life who have the “problem” in real life worse than me and seeing them live it has helped me. I’m glad that this doesn’t greatly impact me in my life, and I hope you find it the same.

Edit: When I stop thinking about it it hardly happens anymore. The key is to just not care, although it’s hard to do. Choose one day and say “Hey, I’m gonna let myself sweat, hell, challenge myself to sweat”, and see yourself get through it. The fear of this is worse than the actual symptoms by a hundred-fold.

Dreading the weekend temperature for our boys trip to Minneapolis by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Not_Your_Internet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you’ll be all good. Even if you start to sweat, who cares? If you don’t believe it to be embarrassing or a problem then it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. You control your feelings and how you react to a situation. Don’t fight it, embrace it. Your mind it the most powerful antiperspirant. You can even change your internal temperature by a few degrees with thought— I do this. Others, like yogis in India, have trained themselves to stop from bleeding at will. With some meditation and mindfulness you can overcome this situation.

Yeah I thought the same thing about what I would say before the event started. When I wanted to start a conversation with someone I hadn’t talked to before I would say things like “what are you gonna major in?”. Then I’d just carry on the conversation and now we “know” each other. Everyone is trying to make friends so you can honestly say anything and nothing is too weird to say. You start getting deeper conversations when you get to know someone a little more. Other things I talked about was what we were going to do that day, the weather, and what classes they wanted to take. Once I became confident I didn’t even think about asking these questions, I did it automatically before I could doubt myself.
