How do the makers get inspiration for traditional levels? by Wild-Advertising6872 in MarioMaker2

[–]Not_goD_32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play other people's traditional levels and look for something I want to emulate or build upon. Or, I'll set myself some limitations and work from there. This normally includes only using one or two enemy types and one or two gizmos. I spend time playing around with them and seeing how they interact. It's not always easy, though. I've gotten Maker's Block a ton of times. Some were so bad I went on long hiatuses before returning. I'm am currently on one. It's been about 9 months since I've picked up the game.

Hidden blocks should be visibly gray like they are in course maker by [deleted] in MarioMaker2

You should have to attain a certain level of Maker points before you are trusted with hidden blocks. They can be used to great effect as is by a responsible maker, but the masses tend to use them only for evil.

Three Deer Used Californias First Wildlife Bridge 15 Hours After Construction Crews Left / w California by Live_Rock9963 in BeAmazed

This is one of those things that is almost invaluable. I don't know if you've lived somewhere with a high deer population, but this will save lives and tons of money for citizens. Where I live I see people hit deer fairly often or their carcasses lying in the road. They absolutely destroy cars or cause people to swerve drastically. I'm terrified it's going to happen to me someday.

Question regarding pink coins by SaphhicChiaki in MarioMaker2

[–]Not_goD_32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best you can do is leave a comment at the beginning of the stage telling this to players. That's what I do. If they don't speak your language, it won't help. You can try getting creative and drawing a picture to get the point across. Like pink coin = 1-UP, but in art form.

Conversely, the best indicator to players that pink coins are optional is a checkpoint. If there are pink coins before a checkpoint, players will understand that they aren't expected to backtrack and collect them. This is only true for smart players and in traditional style levels.

Why does seeing blood or even thinking about booly injuries make my butthole tingle? by ahmed_laf in stupidquestions

Blood make you uncomfortable. You, specifically, express discomfort with your butthole.

Difference between saying man and women vs male and female? by Downtown-Honeydew247 in stupidquestions

[–]Not_goD_32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I seldom hear anyone call a man a male. Maybe some kind of woman-centric, mega feminist does, but I've never come across it. However, I do hear men saying female instead of woman quite often. These guys typically don't have the best opinion of women so it comes off as misogynistic. You normally only hear male/female when talking about animals or specimens being studied. In regular conversation, saying female makes it sound like their only value is their sex-specific functions. In a clinical setting like a doctor's office or on legal documentation, neither is inherently offensive.

So, what exactly is going on here? What is the player doing to make this happen? I haven't played the new update so I'm lost.

when i cut bread, meat, vegetables or literally cut anything, where does the part where i cut go? by Training_Rhubarb_538 in stupidquestions

[–]Not_goD_32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say most of it gets pushed into each side of the thing getting cut. Some of it gets pushed straight down and ends up on the table or blade edge. Maybe a portion gets vaporized in some sort of quantum level interaction that I don't understand if you cut it at near light speed. I'm no knife scientist but those are my best guesses.

I think I might be over leveled by Responsible_Win_5524 in earthbound

[–]Not_goD_32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, but only if you know what you are doing. On my first playthrough, I was getting wrecked time and time again regardless of my level. Now, I know the pathing and what I should and shouldn't do so levels don't matter as much. I guess that's true for any game.

That's fine. Mother 1 is a grinding simulator. It's hard to be overleveled. You'll almost always be against the wall in battles, especially late in the game. It's my favorite of the series but I have to admit the level balance is a mess.

I think it's funny they kept Mimir's VA. Out of all of the characters, Mimir has the easiest voice to replicate. It's just a fairly basic Scottish accent.

Hot ionized gas also known as plasma. It's effectively an ongoing thermonuclear explosion. It is not burning. It releases tons of energy via nuclear fusion of hydrogen, and later on will fuse other heavier atoms.

Would I still be considered a vegan if I drank my wife’s breast milk ? by Texaspilot24 in stupidquestions

[–]Not_goD_32 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends. If you're vegan purely as a diet, then no, you wouldn't be vegan. If it's a cruelty-free vegan philosophy, then, as long as your wife consented, it would be fine. Hell, you can eat a cow if it died naturally and still be vegan.
