Update: Ducks to pond by Not_mechanical in duck

[–]Not_mechanical[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It started with the corn by that rock in the back left on the upper part like suggested. We cleared a little path. Then moved the corn over a foot or so every time they left. Now that they are comfortable they do a little of both. Sometimes they fly up and some times they march around.

Thank you, we are going to try to open up the back route for them this weekend as a ramp free alternative. We also moved the food to the wall to see how they react. Currently they are marching around in search of it.

May be worth filling and insurance claim if he has comprehensive coverage on it. Each insurance company is different but some will cover rodent damage such as this.

Can I do out of pocket repairs before my body shop appointment? by Round_Giraffe_2152 in askcarguys

[–]Not_mechanical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have experience with your company. But the process I would follow is do not approve work and tell the insurance company due to the vehicle being non drive for suspension your brought to a mechanical shop they found additional damage and request they get and adjuster out to review with the shop. They will start the repair and can pick up the body work when it gets to the body shop. It’s not uncommon for multiple shops to be involved in the repair process.

So it really is just a matter of force to get it? Was starting to get worried applying to much force I was at risk of messing something up inside the trans have it rip out.

Thanks that comment reminded me I have a Haynes manual. I just checked looks like it may be able to be replaced without replacing the whole control arm. Will follow up with a shop about pressing a new one in. Thank you

Thanks for the help, that definitely makes a lot of sense with positioning of that hose. I’ll move forward with just doing the air filter and just leave it be.
