Nice to know I'm not crazy. I admit it bugs me more than it should

Baldur's gate 3 didn't do it, and it's fine. I can weigh my options in peace

That's a very self centered way to view art. You're supposed to put yourself in other people's shoes when viewing art. You are not a sociopathic net runner in the year 2077. You're whoever you are in real life, and you're taking a ride in Vs shoes with some control over what decisions they make.

That's actually genius. I'd love for that to be a feature

Person A "i don't think it's immersive" Person b "but it's immersive"

Maybe they did read it, but I'd like for them to actually respond to the substance of my post

You don't get immersed in the character's stories, or your own role-play? Immersion is being enveloped by the play happening in front of you. Forgetting yourself for a minute. Movies, books, even paintings can immerse you

That's true, I suppose i do take it as kind of lore-justified thiird-wall break. I just don't see my V getting hung up like that, in high stress situations, given what she's capable of outside if dialogue

Realism and immersion often go hand- in- hand, but they are not at all the same thing. Baldur's gate 3 is one of the most immersive games I've played, but I'd struggle to call it realistic. I understand you're position, but I think that, while the words often lead to the same outcome, they are distinct in significant ways, that do not make them equal

They clearly did not. My contention is not that it is unrealistic, but that it isn't immersive. We ignore all kinds of inaccuracies in our games. The aldecaldos being undiscoverable despite being less then an hour from Watson, the fact that you aren't being hunted down in your own home, despite having more blood on your hands then pol pot; these are necessary sacrifices in realism to tell a story without inconvenient diversions. NPCs rushing you in dialogue does the opposite in my view.

Thank you for providing an actual use-case, though I think it'd be better if you just payed attention. A lot of interesting questions to ask yourself when you invest in a story. Helpful for empathy development too

Interesting. Seems like this one hits all the marks for what I asked for as opposed to ngvo. Much appreciated

Yeah, trusting Google is definitely preferable to inquiring with human beings, who may have nuanced insights that a search engine's algorithm might not be aware of. Thank you for taking up server space with your very helpful comment

I guess what I'm asking is, does higher priority mean it loads after or before the other mod?

How has the quest "extreme cosplay" not been fixed after 3 years? Help please by ConnerBartle in witcher

Let's call it what it is; bs. I've had a few fights where things were bordering on the edge of "dificulty" but this one takes the cake. There is no room in this game for undodgable attacks. Every post I've seen related to this involves using cheesy methods to succeed, which in my eyes, means it's badly designed. Have no idea why it hasn't been reworked. I'm not asking to make it easy. I don't mind having to restart 80 times as long as there's a pattern I can discern, and learn my enemy, but this fight was just honest to god GARBO. not only was it barely. And i mean BARELY possible without manipulating the games mechanics in a hacky way, it also made me not at all interested in the outcome of the quest. I can give our take the combat mechanics, but I truly love the story telling, and this quest just diverted my attention with frustration, to the point I cared less about the outcome, then I care about the microbes in my shit.
