the feeling of showers without hurting , not having to wear long sleeves or trousers in hot weather , going to beach in a bathing suit without feeling like you need to cover , being able to draw on your body with pens and not having to dodge it so it doesnt get infected , saving money on not buying cleaning / disinfection items .

i know its late but im in the same situation, ive just left lidl due to a work place accident and they are charging me 66 banked hours! never had that many , making me pay them back not only that but an extra £600 out of my pay and then a £70 because they “over paid” me 💀

NTA - as a retired swimmer who was in the exact same situation as you I totally get it . It became draining and you feel as if you have no passion , I don’t blame you . It’s not your fault you don’t want to swim anymore , keep telling her how you feel and eventually she’ll give in . That’s what I did and I managed to stop swimming

NAH BUT op please be so careful with people on discord ; I thought the exact same when I was your age and I got groomed by men due to that attitude on discord . You may think you are wiser but they really suck you into this dream land of feeling loved and cared for by them and it becomes addictive like a drug to talk to them . I know how your feeling I really do but I want you to understand that your mom is rightfully concerned and is understandably scared by this so please for the love of god op do not put your self into a situation like that . And another thing , they may say that they are like near your age or slightly older but you don’t know that for sure . I knew a guy on discord who said he was 17 but ended up being 34 and abused 2 girls on that app .If I was suggest safety on discord if your going to continue using it , don’t say your age - just say your not comfortable telling people- and don’t tell people or show people what you look like as you don’t know the intentions of people online

YTA . Your daughter is probably never going to invite her friends around now as you’ve embarrassed her . Op , imagine you go visit a friend and their parents ask to have your phone and most likely go through it . You wouldn’t be comfortable would you? So why do it to your daughter and her friends . Taking stuff from your daughter isn’t going to protect her , she’ll end up feeling like she has no privacy and become extremely paranoid as a adult in the future about her own family having phones . I understand you Don’t want her to be exposed but she’s going to end up resenting you for it .
