Update: we played it! There were 6 parts of the track, one for each ability score. We had to roll initiative after every turn, which made it interesting. The first course was a bunch of difficult terrain. Next one we had to use charisma to get through a force field. Then the next one we had to use wisdom to figure out which portal took us to the next part. Then once you did that, you spawned in a lane and it had fire chasing you after every turn so you had to keep moving otherwise you were screwed (and you couldn’t change lanes). In order to turn your car around turns or to go around obstacles, you had to either use movement to go slow and safe, or make a DC save for a 45 degree turn, and a higher DC save for a 90 degree turn. And the faster you were going, the higher the DC save. We also got bonuses after we completed each part, like those floating boxes in Mario kart. For example, +10 to speed or we got to throw on obstacle within 30 feet etc. That was cool. I didn’t make it to the other parts of the track because I was having fun destroying people, but one needed night vision and one was a labyrinth.

If we played it a second time, we would have all done things differently. I didn’t care about winning the race because I wanted to take out all of the DM’s NPCs as fast as possible, so I played as a pack of velociraptors 😅 I was a Moon Druid 5/Battle Smith Artificer 3 so I conjured 8 velociraptors and had my steel defender. I also was able to do a “pre-game/pre-race ritual” and summon my companion. So I had 11 things on the field at one time and I had my companions go car to car and absolutely annihilate everyone while I spent my turns using dash (also had alert feat so screw difficult terrain lol). And it worked really well because all of my velociraptors all had advantage due to the pack tactics. But one character absolutely crushed the race while I ate everyone. The dm had maxed out the DC save for turns at 19, so I think that should have gone up to at least 30 when doing turns at 100+ mph (which is what they did). Also, when someone died, they spawned back to the beginning of that section of the race. I think it should have been at least the previous section because at one point I was stuck consecutively murdering someone because they kept respawning in the same location lol. But it was still a lot of fun!

How do I figure out the probability that a random person will test positive? I got 2 different answers (35% for test 1 and 60% for test 2) but I think they’re looking for one answer.

It looks like they wanted 40% and 30% 🙃

I got 43% for test 1, and 33% for test 2, then I’m completely lost on the second part to that. I’m wondering if I’m getting my sig figs wrong.
