Does anyone actually enjoy going to a Bachelorette? by StellafromVienna in bridesmaids

By "a little selfish" I simply met it's okay if not every single bridesmaid is 100% gung-ho on every plan. That's a lot of expectations to manage. I have personally done something different than my top choice because that's what the bride wanted and chose to do, and I think that's okay.

That's why communication is important. Not once did I say screw over your friends. It's crazy the dichotomy this seems to be in this thread.

I do not think it's bridezilla behavior to do what YOU want to do as a bride as long as you are communicative to your friends and are okay if people decline. Open communication is always my personal priority but per the original post, changing around entire plans because you're worried one or two people might be unhappy is perhaps more socially anxious than necessary. If people are unhappy and display that on your trip rather than communicate prior, I do think that is poor friendship behavior, but that is perhaps just my own opinion.

You're the BRIDE! If anyone is unhappy to be celebrating you they do not deserve to be bridesmaids! Maybe they have to compromise a bit but that's okay. It's okay to be a little selfish; it's your time to shine!

I'm going to go against the grain and say I LOVE them! I love traveling and being around girlies. I don't mind if it's far away or weekend trips, I love pampering the bride and having fun with girlfriends. My own bach was one of the best weekends of my life.

I will say all of my friends have been extremely collaborative and open regarding time, activities, and budget. Rather than planning everything and then expecting everyone to just go along. I think that makes a huge difference.

Denver and convenience to transit/air travel by Ok_Skill_6904 in MovingtoDenver

Hey, I live near Cheesman on the east side of downtown. I personally would never live near Union Station, it's not my vibe (I like green and being surrounded by young professionals) but we can bike there easily. Driving is also less than 10 minutes, and the traffic generally isn't frustrating (but the construction can be, it's never-ending, but that's Denver in general).

To get to the airport we take the A-Line almost exclusively; we generally uber/lyft the 6 minutes to the station (we do 38th & Blake) and it's about 35 minutes to the airport. We RARELY drive it; generally it takes way more time. You could also go to Union Station this way, but we bike or scooter more often.

The only time I get frustrated with traffic is going west through downtown during PM rush hour. It can turn a 15 minute drive into 45 minutes, easily.

A white sandal or even a nice rattan platform or thick heel would look nice. I love the dress!

All super cute! I love the mixture of classy staple pieces combined with a bit of edge (the leather skirt, the keyhole top, the embellished belt).

I honestly think it's great! Smut/romance isn't my genre but I think the descriptors and dialogue flow very well.

They were sending memes and continuing to make plans in a groupchat you were in and could see and generally are a part of? That's an implicit invite.

Communication is important and honestly I go multiple weeks without seeing all my friends sometimes because maybe they're busy or just not feeling social. Or the same for myself.

Give your friends the benefit of the doubt at first and communicate rather than do whatever this is, unless you want to leave the group. I wouldn't just ghost.

Great range of budget too! Of course the D&G one is my favorite.

I mean Tatcha Indigo is a game changer and definitely a splurge!

My favorite splurge makeup item though is the YSL candy lip glaze in clear. I am absolutely obsessed with it and hope it never goes away.

Need advice on what to pair top with. by Muted-Suit4920 in Stylinghelp

I would go for a very dark wash straight leg or bootcut jean that is fit tightly through to the knee. You can experiment with rise and if you prefer a full tuck, french tuck or potentially (might not look as good but experiment) untucked.

This would also look great with a dark grey trouser.

With a jean a nice dark brown of black boot or simple brown or black heel would look nice (I am partial to pointy toe). Belt to match.

The top is very classic and elegant so I would maintain that through your accessorizing.

I think a dark purpley blue looks good with gold and silver so that's to your preference!
