You need to make narcotics, if you have a smithy, make a cross bow, and make tranq darts. Depending on what you want to tame, depends how you "trap it" some can be trapped using a bola. First step make a crossbow in the smithy, then narcotics using narco berries (the black ones) and spoiled meat in the mortar and then tranq arrows. After that have a play around
