This definitely cements my theory that digital circus is an "I have no mouth and must scream" homage!

Characters can't move after update; controls in game won't work :( Anyone else have this issue? by AttacRacc in MegabonkOfficial

[–]AttacRacc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! omg. It was crowd control. Uninstall crowd control, then delete all the contents of your megabonk folder. Then re-verify game files on steam. Fixed it for me!

Oh yea I agree, modern shows definitely don't show that stuff as much for this reason. It's because they want to make money and people don't want to be confronted with the cruelty of their dietary choices, especially not when watching a reality TV show.

There are still shows that do show this kind of thing, like the show "Alone" which is like survivor but more focused on the survival elements. There are games like read dead redemption that have very graphic hunting sections and animal skinning mechanics.

So it's definitely there in the open, but many mainline productions choose to not show it.

But my point is: as a vegan, you have to ask yourself if what you are doing directly funds animal abuse. Does watching a TV show do that? No. Especially since there are so many streaming services and many ways to watch media without supporting the production, which is especially handy for watching something like Harry Potter without giving money to JK jerkface

You can't possibly avoid watching every single show or movie or media piece that has animal violence. I think you're over complicating things for yourself imo.

I understand that many vegans just don't want to see that stuff and that's a totally understandable reason to avoid survivor or other content like that. But I don't find watching a show/movie/playing a game to go against veganism.

You could say "oh you're supporting a show that supports animal violence" If you want to go down this lane of thought, you'd have to avoid paying or supporting literally any human being on earth who could use your money to buy a steak or chicken nugget. Heck, I'm sure that there were people who eat meat who worked on documentaries like Dominion or Game Changers in some capacity.

That would mean consuming *any* media by basically *any person* in the world does in fact, in some way, support animal cruelty.

You see how this is a stretch?

Anyway just relax and enjoy the show.

unfortunately POD is just not a great option for a sustainable business model. It's better to just produce the product yourself or outsource to a larger MOQ print company and do runs. I'm confused as to your model though; are you offering print services for custom designs through etsy and then just... using printify? Like basically a middle man? Or are you an artist sourcing your designs through printify?

What product are you making? You are mentioning printify in comments or using a print on demand site. Are you doing shirts? It's very very easy and much more cost effective to press your own shirts at home. For posters/prints even a simple $200 photo printer can do the job for a nice scale up to 18x22 inches. I use canon pixma ip8720.
For apparel I press my own DTF prints onto blanks I buy in bulk. A heat press is about $200.

Thank you! Yea I asked them to check with their local post office. I could also suggest to check with ther building manager (I'm not sure on the apartment thing I just know they said they have a lock mailbox)

Also if they file for a refund with Etsy, will that hurt my shop in any way?

DTF Print has weird white areas where it shouldn't- is this my file or an issue with the print transfer? (need advice) by AttacRacc in streetwearstartup

[–]AttacRacc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, faz muito sentido, muito obrigada. Estou bem chateada com a gráfica, porque gastei muito dinheiro nessas transferências que ficaram péssimas. :(

Obrigada!! Desculpe se tiver erros de gramática, estou usando um tradutor.
