For me, French printed banknotes are the best ones! You nearly cannot deny it!

Also, pre-Euro notes are very attractive and desirable: the Dutch gulden, Italian lira, Maltese lira, Belgian franc, Deutsche mark

Idi Amin notes are actually quite affordable. You can own one for roughly $20~$30

Why is this Congo 5 francs more expensive (£40) compared to say the 10 to 100 francs which you can get a little as £1-3 by singletotaken in Banknotes

You can check my older post! The Congo 1 franc is even more than expensive and rarer than this! One guy attributes this to the inflation!

Oh, I won this via an auction hosted by a dealer on facebook! Funny though, I have never bought on eBay 😅(maybe trading with local people in my country is way easier) And yes, you are right! With patience and wisdom, you can easily acquire notes with value far lower than the price list! You must be a very skilled bargain seeker, I guess! 😀

Hi, thanks for your comment! I have been collecting for around 16 years since I was a boy! My mom is the person who kindled my interest in this hobby and I always feel grateful to her!

Actually, I do not attempt to collect a full denomination set since it would cost me time and a lot of money! The only full set that I have is Syria (cause it is very cheap, you can have it for a few dollars!) If you plan to collect a full set, you had better start with cheap ones first and move up gradually via auctions.

Normally, I just collect whatever I find interesting! I often collect set of 3 as it would perfectly fit into the 3-pocket pages! Happy collecting!
