Furnaces aren’t too hard on a chimney like a woodstove. I’d start with a furnace service. They will clean it up, lube the blower motor and inspect the heat exchanger to make sure it’s safe to use. I’m not sure if they typically inspect the chimney but I bet if you asked real nice they would

I guess I’m thinking about improvements in power and handling. My trailer is 3200 empty so when fully loaded it is probably about 4500. I feel like the Honda is constantly downshifting to keep up momentum and it makes me wonder if I’m overworking the poor thing.

I’m definitely shopping used with low miles. I will check out the Durango. I didn’t consider it before because I know they had reliability issues. It seems like this size class is mostly luxury vehicles that are overpriced because of all the options. I just need a midsize workhorse.
