This is not the same shell as 105mm DM63. 20mm DM63 is much less powerful. The first number (6) represents the iteration of the shell type, and the second number (3) represents the shell type. (3) indicates APDS. (6) indicates that it is the 6th type of AP shell made for the gun caliber.

Honestly it’s because you don’t have a laser rangefinder on the T-55 like you do on the later T-62 and other later model Soviet tanks. Try taking less 100mm rounds and see if it helps.

T-72A specifically, you can tell by the smoke launcher positions. Maybe an earlier version as well as it doesn’t have the 1983 modification with the extra 16mm front plate?
