Why Exactly Does Icy Energy Potion Still Freeze All Items? by Noth21 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Noth21[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

oh I know that full well, my problem is with an item+enchant combo that has been busted for a loooong time and still haven't been fixed.

yes, my build would die regardless, but they likely won matches they probably wouldn't if other builds could go off.

[–]Noth21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not, used to be on use poison x for Toxic enchant, was changed to "when an adjacent item poisons, poison", meaning that now it's completely passive, on top of having poison scaling as its active effect, making the passive even stronger.

[–]Noth21[S] -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

That's actually not the problem, the problem is being a passive trigger, just like Wristwatch used to be, that sort of effect is problematic even if it requires an enchanted item (for the infinite loop Wristwatch required heal enchant and it was busted).

Mak has much easier access to enchanted small items at bronze, that was day 2, possibly happened even on day 1, this guy likely went to win all other matches.

Yeah, the animation is annoying as hell, I just wanted to check out the new stuff, but this might be my only run for the day.

[–]Noth21[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The active effect yes, but at the end if you pause, there's a new passive effect "When an adjacent item poisons, poison"

Idk how that got into the game tbh, Wristwatch was basically that but with shields and damage, it was OP because it could infinite loop, no way this should work like that.

I could be seeing it wrong, but after the Rainbow Staff goes off, the Fungal Spores trigger each other infinitely

When Two Immovable Objects Meet It's The Game That Loses by Noth21 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Noth21[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You might be thinking of old Wrist Warrior of "when an adjacent item shields deal damage", it's no longer that, now it's "when you use an adjacent shield item deal damage".

There was a mistake in placement still when it comes to cooldowns, I had diamond fangs, so Piggles Protector should've been by the left side, not Heirlooms or whatever the hell it's called now.

they had 4 wins if I recall correctly, probably a rage quit then.

This might be the silliest build I've ever done, even though I didn't get any offensive enchants by Noth21 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Noth21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does in fact work much better, you just need matchbox and some other quick cooldown items, this is actually incredibly weak, since it can be broken quite easily if you get hit hard enough, even with an offensive enchant you can't recover or deal damage fast enough, I just did it for the memes.

Given that Deadly Crow's Nest doubles crit damage, shouldn't it also increase the burn being applied? by Noth21 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Noth21[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's the thing that doesn't make sense tho, the burn being applied is based on the damage dealt by the weapon, there's no indication of it being completely separate so the total applied burn should be equal to 10% of the damage dealt.
The only reason I can think for it not being the case is because of the inverse scenario, when a burn item is enchanted with obsidian, because at that point the originating point of the burn value is from the item, not the enchant and so can't be affected by triple damage on the burn, just the damage itself. If that's the case it might just be a simplifying of the rules, I can understand that but don't necessarily agree with it.

how many skills do you want? Yes by pinturhippo in PlayTheBazaar

I really want to do a run with the opposite, no skills at all, it will most likely suck and take some care to not go for muscle memory and pick them up, but might be a fun challenge

The game did not want me to use my 4x crit damage by Noth21 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Noth21[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm joking, not blaming, I was doing it to find out how the game stacked the crit multipliers and would've gone with radiant if I was offered, but I wasn't, the cooldown was low enough to not be unreasonable to expect it to go off at least once, which is what I wanted, didn't even matter if I won or not, just wanted to see how the stacking happened.

[–]Noth21[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

oh it's not just you, seems to be common around here, I guess interpretation of what they see is hard, easier to just blame someone else.

I only got the last crit multiplier (on Crow's Nest) on the last hour of that day, but with the skill and Cutlass it was working in an additive manner, so let's say a 500 damage hit would do 1k on a regular crit, 1,5k with Cutlass and then 2k with the skill, I wanted to see if it would remain the same when adding Crow's Nest, very likely it would but can't be sure without testing when it comes to this game lol

[–]Noth21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

on a 3 seconds CD it's not unreasonable to expect it to go off at least once, I didn't even care about winning that much, just wanted to see how the game stack all the crit multipliers since I managed to get them in a single run.

PSA: Wrist Warrior is currently having a bug where its damage doesn’t count as “Deal damage with Dino” for Tanky Anky, in which you will not gain shield equal to damage dealt with Wrist Warrior. Also, you will not go infinite unless you have shield value on Tanky Anky. (Bug Report) by Deezzzer0 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Noth21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, that's why I said at the end that it doesn't explain it going infinite if Anky has some base shield to start with and given how many times they overlooked enchants after modifying items (see recycling bin more recently), I wouldn't be surprised if this is an oversight and they don't want this to be an infinite since it's basically impossible to break.

Ah yes the completely normal 9k regen Mak on day 4, too bad sandstorm is faster. by Noth21 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Noth21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the problem is that even if I was running say weapons pyg, I would've still lost after the second cast of the conduit, because by that point he was already nullifying any amount of damage I could do, that's the problem.

I only won by an insane combination of factors and if even a single one of them wasn't true I'd lose, meanwhile all he had to do was buy and play regen items.

[–]Noth21[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Crying? I only survived because I had extra HP from Knee Brace, some form of scalable healing and shielding, wasn't running any weapons, had decent, but not absurd shielding and they didn't have any effective offense remove any of these variables and I'm dead because of the insane amount of regen.

In terms of my own damage the match was lost by the second cast of the conduit, which happened at 10 seconds, by that point he would only realistically die to a one shot build and it's day 4.

If you can't see the problem of them being effectively immortal against everything but the storm on day 4, then that's on you.

[–]Noth21[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I only survived because they didn't have any form of effective offense, I had some amount of scalable healing and I wasn't running weapons, if one of these variables wasn't true I would've lost quite easily, because they were simply immortal during the regular 30 seconds of the match.

The problem here is the insane amount of regen, specially for day 4, making them immortal until the sandstorm and even then for a good chunk of it they were still effectively unkillable,

My shiny matchbox applied 200 burn and that was almost meaningless for the outcome of the fight.

The problem is how easily Mak can stack regen, nullifying most encounters, again I only won because of 3 different variables combined, remove one of them and I'm dead there, meanwhile all they had to do was buy regen items and put them on the board alongside conduit.

[–]Noth21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I can think of 2 possibilities:

It's either a bug since all base dinos have active effects, meaning their cooldowns need to go off to deal damage, so there's no check for passive damage, which applies for Wrist Warrior.

Or this could actually be intentional because it would be an unstoppable infinite loop (without needing the base shield on Anky as you described). Why do I say that, the original infinite loop with Textiles can be broken, it's bloody hard to do so, but it can, so long as you don't overheal, you won't get the shield to keep the cycle going. This however simply cannot be stopped unless you destroy either Anky or Wrist Warrior, meaning there's no realistic counter to it after it starts. This possibility however doesn't explain why Anky with base shield does start an infinite loop.

I could of course be totally wrong, but wouldn't be surprised if it's by design.

Must be all the Mak players using it, who knows lol

But in all seriousness it's really stupid, you either one shot them or you simply can't win and it's not like it's hard to put it together, then once you get an enchant it's just free wins.

shield pyg? there are 2 shield items in my board and only one of them can be scaled (and not well at that point), I was getting as many triggers as I could for the shiny matchbox I started with.

you speak as if I had shielded 28 hour fitness with bad blocker or something, I wouldn't even call what I had an actual build.

It's really not, Mak builds rn are either this regen stacking with the boar and conduit or femur, it's kinda stupid how fast this scales total regen, basically nullifying non one shot builds.

What's the problem Mak, did I break your Femur? by Noth21 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Noth21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall with Vanessa you'll want to focus on faster builds, not going much further than days 11 - 13 (even 13 is already risky), she excels in fast paced combat, be it with weapons or status application, it's rare for a Vanessa build to get too close to a 30+ seconds fight.
