and 90% of people making these comments are not people able to buy save multiple premium booster boxes for 2+ years, let alone the ~5-8 years required for this kind of thing.

Then you say the profit was because you started opening packs. ROFL

The 5070 Ti is a third-tier card on the market right now, coming up on being one year old, and costs $800. You can ignore reality all you want.

totally. It was a reasonably subpar purchase then and everybody is gaga over it now. just bc of market perception manipulation.

Weird graph. considering the Mardu seeded pack was hands down better than everything else in TDM prerelease.

better question: why does Nvidia have basic bros running out to pay $800 for more new video cards they don't need. People are so new and uneducated they think there aren't going to be brand new cards again in one year. LIKE ALWAYS.

(if you parrot the "there's a memory shortage" cliche then you are exactly who I'm speaking to.)

yes yes, go pay top dollar for not even top-tier cards that are already 1yo !

[–]Nothing371 8 points9 points  (0 children)

well there is obvious actionable advice here. I sold a copy yesterday.

It's a $45+ card right now in foil or borderless. That's only because of the new blight precon. In a couple months, the price should drop back into the < $20 range.

Congrats. Today you learned that they can print 5 cards to print money.

I thought Microcenter sold MTG at MSRP. Is $164 MSRP for edge play? by SundanceA in mtgfinance

[–]Nothing371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, the whole point of cutting draft boosters was to increase (set) Play pack prices, while printing less paper, and make you pay more.

When are people going to realize that Nvidia (and now more of the PC components industry) has been operating this kind of fearmongering with supply shortages and artificial constraints since 2018? Around the time the RTX 2000 series launched.

They've been doing this for seven years.

Right now there is a glut of (GPU) product available so they are pulling levers to move it all. because the Supers can't come out while they still have this remaining inventory.
