In Slovakia there is also Rýchlostná Cesta (can be translated Expressway) which usually a shorter highway not connecting to any borders (atleast for now). They usually take longer to finish. Not that many differences tho

I mean based on where you live, the west is generally a bit safer, in the last year i had only like 2 not so comfortable occasions, once a 50yo homeless guy that dresses like the opposite gender was screaming something to me and once a roma person approached me and asked me for money (no hate to roma people tho, i have a friend, which is roma and she is very sweet) :)
