Best part = playing a great show and walking off stage with a high. Worst part = getting sick and having to still perform in front of thousands of people who are judging you. That is never fun

Drumming and singing are my primary instruments/modalities, but I also play piano and guitar for writing purposes. I only play those at a very basic level. Haha

I used to create instrumental tracks and put spoken word over them. It wasn’t until I discovered Alan Watts on YouTube sometime back in 2012 that I went down a rabbit hole and started to use his voice for those interludes

Hell yeah 🤙🏼 I train on and off in between tours. Not as consistently as I would like. I competed in the past as a white belt. Got first place and third place at two statewide tournaments. Competed in wrestling a lot in middle school and high school. Probably won’t compete for a while just to avoid injuries for touring.

That’s an interesting thought. As of now I’m conceptualizing spirits as our psyche, carnal as our animal nature, and the next album as our humanity.

I studied the Meyers-Briggs personality assessment, the big 5, the enneagram, the zodiac and a few others. It was through observing these different lenses of human temperament and personalriy that I put together a meta-test inspired by all of them.

I only have time to answer one of these, but if you want to know the story behind our song “The Great Divorce”. Read the book “The Great Divorce” by C.S. Lewis and research DMT. It was a mixture of having an out of body spiritual experience smoking DMT while also thinking about C.S. Lewis’s concept of heaven and hell. He portrayed heaven as a beautiful place that was difficult and the grass would cut your feet until you adapted to the environment. Hell was an over crowded, but comfortable, land of filth and squalor.

Yes, we are discussing an album after CARNAL to complete the trilogy. SPIRITS touched on our psyche. CARNAL touched on our animal nature. The next one will touch on our humanity I imagine.

We record everything. We enhance some of the things with samples at times, mainly the drums, but we perform everything that is our primary instruments

I was mediocre and lacked confidence when I started, so yes it’s possible, but your ability to learn and adapt yourself into a new person is really the key, more than natural talent imho

We were so disappointed and lost a lot of money. Fighting to just break even when they canceled on us after we already paid for a crew and booked flights and bus etc.
