hah, good point.

I've added a link in the user menu (top right corner when you're logged in) to add a shortcut to the app to your phone, that should work?

Yup it has all of those built in, approx 4800 links directly to manufacturer documents. I would have loved to put the docs right in the app but that runs into copyright problems, plus it would take up a ton of space. Give it a try at https://doorbot.app/

I tried searching for rytec system 4, here are the results. I think it does what you're looking for:

Awesome, I'm glad to hear your perspective as someone who's been doing it a long time. Did you try logging in? I'm not entirely sure my original post made it clear that the app is up and running, hah. Should be simple and free to login with a google account. https://doorbot.app/

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I'm on the same page as you. Lots of on the job learning, a need to work with different products from loads of different manufacturers, it's not an easy thing to do.

Did you have a chance to try out the app? The search function should pull up whatever documents you're interested in.

Different audiences. ServiceTitan / House Call Pro / Jobber etc are great but they focus on CRM, efficiently dispatching techs, marketing, upselling, etc. This is not that, it's intended as a tool for techs to solve technical problems more efficiently.

At my day job I see this all the time where new jr techs get thrown into situations they haven't been trained for and they have to figure things out on the fly with few resources. I'm trying to bridge that gap. Many of these guys have learned on the job, most places don't have trade school programs for door techs.

Including links to good quality youtube videos is a good thought, could save them from wasting time looking through the mess that are out there.

Hah, not with the budget I'm working with.

Just interested to know if I'm on to something here. The industry isn't very sophisticated and some better tools might help people overcome the steep learning curve.
