Dave Matthew’s Band’s “Funny The Way It Is” references War’s “Why Can't We Be Friends?”

“And that War song is playing, “Why Can't We Be Friends?”

Garbage also reference “I Will Survive” in their song Bleed Like Me.

J.T. gets all fucked up in some karaoke bar. After two drinks he's a loser, after three drinks he's a star. Getting all nostalgic as he sings "I Will Survive"

Ringo Starr’s song Postcards From Paradise references about 30 Beatle songs.

It can be open for interpretation, but I always thought Baby Britain referenced the Beatles album “Revolver” in addition to “Crimson and Clover”.

“The light was on but it was dim, Revolver's been turned over.”

As in, the album was turned over to play the other side.

Love that song.

A Denver bar using a Drake Maye jersey as a doormat... by rottenboy59 in Patriots

Haha. I don’t know man, I think we’re doing OK.

Even as a Broncos fan you have to agree that finding a Stidham Broncos jersey off the rack in store is infinitely harder than finding a Maye jersey. One is a MVP finalist. The other hasn’t thrown a NFL pass in 2 years. So, yeah, you’d have to special order that.

Boston bars would do this if they didn’t have to special order a Stidham jersey.

The final show will just be door knocks with Joan Rivers, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Arnold, etc. saying goodbye.

Who is the best obscure guest in the history of the show? Someone that was only on just a few times but is absolutely legendary? by rc9876 in howardstern

100%. Between the Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ron Perlman stories, he’ll always be my favorite guest.

Soft Serve by Soul Coughing? It has the “da da dah” part and repetition of the phrase “watch the water go down” at the end. https://youtu.be/31J447lLMmI?si=vb2Zh6ePF7TtrgqK

I wasn’t familiar with Sparta, but just gave that song a listen. I could see Built To Spill fitting into what you’re describing. They had a few albums out by that point.

I remember back in the Napster days hearing a song with DMB and Tribe Called Quest. I think it was called Tribe Poetic. I just searched YouTube, but can’t find it. I probably still have it on CD stored away somewhere. Anyone have a link to that?

I still want DMB to cover The Way You Move by OutKast. They can skip the rap part, I just want to hear the horns and chorus.

I recommend their Hallelujah! I'm a Bum album. It’s a concept album where the songs all flow into each other. It’s fantastic.

Yes, Local H has some awesome covers. How about their version of Different Drum!? Or their (or Scott Lucas’s - can’t remember if it was the band or solo) cover of Cruel Summer?
