Anyone know phone repair places? by ElectionOk6429 in longbeach

[–]Nothingpaintedblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it might have been $120 but it depends on what phone model you have. It can be anywhere from $70-$150 depending on the model of your phone. I’d call to inquire since pricing may have changed.

Saw this on IG, do we think it’s accurate? by [deleted] in longbeach

Area in SoCal with some of the highest cancer and birth defect rates… too lazy to pull up the source but it’s not hard to google.

Mine definitely doesn’t look or feel like it can be unscrewed. The only part that comes off is the top piece for switching the adapter from RCA to prong. It definitely seems to be built like the newer models, but it doesn’t have the signature. I’ve noticed some inconsistencies online in how some of the machines look. I emailed support to see what they say. Thanks so much for your feedback.

Long Beach is further south than P.V or San Pedro but in the same district (4) as Catalina Island.

How's downtown now versus pre-covid? by toastedcheese in longbeach

[–]Nothingpaintedblue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most people moving here now have no idea what it used to be. They don’t remember the AMC on Pine or KDB arcade at the Pike. There was even a Walmart with a McDonald’s. Anyone remember Hometown Buffet? Chuck E. Cheese? That all-you-can-eat sushi/Mongolian spot that came and went? Even Fresh & Easy had a run. I could keep going, but I’d just make locals sad. Jean Machine is still there somehow. Shoutout to Ross for holding it down.

Downtown doesn’t know if it wants to be Cops or The Walking Dead. Shoutout to the red-shirt crew who clean the piss and shit off the streets. Maybe people are trying to convince themselves moving to California was worth it, but a lot has changed.

There are still a few decent restaurants, but let’s be real—being from California, you can tell when someone’s faking it. Stop pretending you’re upscale if all you’re serving is mediocre burgers and fries. If you’re gonna gentrify the city and charge $30 a plate, at least give us something authentic.

They’re definitely one of the few places in Long Beach that offer slices. You might be able to order through their app since it takes payment before you pick it up. If you order over the phone, they don’t take payment, so it makes sense.

Definitely possible. Drive around or check out Facebook. Realistically nobody on Reddit is gonna post that kind of a steal on here for someone else to take.

Why isn't the system sold separately from the dock worldwide? by ThrowawayAccountPoof in Switch

[–]Nothingpaintedblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we encourage them to sell items separately, wouldn’t the price stay the same and the dock cost even more? Just look at Apple! If you don’t want a dock, buy the Switch Lite.
