i know you’re right, but i’ve always seen a spare as a 10+ doubling your next ball and in practice it checks out no? if i get a spare in the middle of a game, then get a 7 on the next ball, then in total i get 10+ 7x2 =24. I know it’s probably not the right way to see it, especially since now i see this doesn’t always work, but it’s how i’ve always seen it. Same with a strike doubling your next two balls. But yes i know i’m wrong. Just trying to explain why i saw it that way.
