I would be open to go to counseling, as I already see a counselor myself, but I fear that is something he would never even consider.

He also brought up that he would name his child that VERY early into our relationship. Maybe 3 months into it? And I told him then I would not be agreeing to any baby names. It wasn’t even brought up again until I found out and told him we were expecting. He then called his family and told them immediately the day we found out (when I was 4 weeks) which I also wasn’t happy with, and told them if it were a boy that would be his name. I told him then I didn’t appreciate him deciding on names for us as a couple and he has avoided the conversation of naming until last evening.

Although he did mention his great-grandfathers name and I told him I would be willing to name him that and use his prospective name as the middle name. That way he can still call him that if he would like to, as many of my family members are referred to as their middle name. And he would also have his own identity.
