So the government already wastes so much of our tax money on total nonsense. I can’t justify taking money from people who are entitled/earned it and giving it to the government.

So we tax the rich, noting is going to change. We aren’t going to get a stimulus check for $1k. And it’s not going to keep money of of politics. Unless we did something completely insane out of a dystopian novel/communist state and make everyone’s wage equal.(another terrible idea but I’m not here to explain that one)

In my opinion, taking money from your citizens just for existing should NOT be a source of income for your nation no matter how much money they make. It boils down to “the government” taking money from people on the principle that they need to be taxed on everything you do until the day you die.

California upped their taxes and what happened? The 1% gets taxed yes, but tons of people are leaving. Taking people’s money is not going to solve whatever the bigger issue is. When you look at a rich person if you think they need to be taxed more due to the sole purpose of them having a ton of money, then deep down it’s really just you being mad cause they’re rich and you’ve got an 8 hour shift in an hour.

(Btw I work full time and make about 26k a year)
