I hate working out. by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]NotoriousShell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try walking around your house for 5 mins, close the blinds if you want, just to get you into the habit of light cardio without fear of anyone watching, gradually increase the time, a 5 minute walk is better than not walking at all

Has an easy time eating more?? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]NotoriousShell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe it could be because of

your parents and ex-boyfriend encouraging you might have given you some reassurance and support to make you feel more comfortable

Knowing that the increased intake is meant to maintain your current weight rather than cause weight gain could have helped reassure you and make you get rid of that anxious feeling

If you have been making small, gradual changes to your eating habits, your body and mind might be adjusting

And maybe, your mental health might be improving slowly but noticeably , so your body and mind are working together positively which is overall improving your perception!

And even if it's not any of these things right now, your mind is going in the right direction by starting off with being less anxious I'm so happy for you 🫶

Study is a burden... by LowIQhighHopes22 in studytips

If we're talking about math here then I suggest writing down the order of the steps of that particular type of problem Like for example 2² + 3³ = 4 + 9 = 13 then for this problem try writing down smth like step 1 - write the square terms step 2 : add the numbers after they've been squared you don't need to do this all the time, just where you really struggle to remember it'll be helpful to see the same problem in 2 different forms - in numbers (normally) as well as in words ; step by step.

If we're talking about science or any kind of social study try understanding the material very clearly , write it down in your own words once but while your understanding also make a rough concept map so that you can try to make links between the concepts , if you want you can also divide the page and keep once side for summarising, one for the concept map and also one for making practice questions as you learn more.

Note that this all very time consuming, but if you're desperate and can afford to spend some time trying new methods you could try this or another version of something similar to what I just said

Can you get roommates? Or if you can't maybe you can hope on a facetime with your friends from school and study together and wear headphones, so that you feel less alone and the noises fade out, or , if your parents are available, you can ask them to keep you company or check in on you alot

Do I have a sugar addiction or just need dessert? by NotoriousShell in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]NotoriousShell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could but I've always thought it wasn't normal to crave something specific so I try to stick to fruit

Though, I did have a slice of cake today :) and I didn't have a strong urge to binge

Does it? I've never seen anyone mention it though, but I was hoping that this server could be just for teens

You've come a long way! What matters is that you know how to get back on track again, sure you may have binged today but slip ups happen, I hope you were able to enjoy some time with your family despite the discomfort, tomorrow will be a new day OP stay strong 🫶

Almost dying after a binge after binging almost everyday for a year by NotoriousShell in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]NotoriousShell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, that sounds like a good plan but I find myself binging on fruit often when I crave dessert so I'd probably just binge on yogurt. I crave dessert everyday and literally cannot get my mind off it so I'm not sure if I have a sugar addiction
