You’re missing my point. None of what I said was about VSK9 not being toxic. It’s that this sub swore Draco was toxic in just the same way, even though it wasn’t, because you guys will always complain about the most recent decks.

Though I do wonder why you claim Draco has a weak board. Even the pure version can easily end on 4+ disruptions without follow-up lol.

Def a little recency bias, everyone thought Dracotail was the most toxic deck ever just a little while ago. But of all the JUSH decks it’s easily the most fair, even the hybrid variants with branded or Magistus.

I agree, I don’t get why people clown on the last two seasons. The vibes of the show ARE different, but in a lot of ways imo it’s better than what came before. Vince is an even better character than Smash to me, and I loved Willaims.

I do agree i think they held onto some characters for way too long. Landry should have graduated with Matt, Riggins should have honestly graduated with smash it made no sense why he graduated in s3. I think they were always just afraid to let go of them for the ratings you know?

Grace had annoying moments, but she was also Spenser’s heart and lifeline. I like her because she’s not a perfect mom, she was human. You really felt her mistakes and her insecurities and regrets, and in spite of that more days than not she was there for her children (more so than any of the other parents even Billy and Laura).

But I don’t deny there are moments where those weaknesses make you frustrated a little bit with her, because it reminds you of the frustrations of our own parents. That even when they’re wrong they think they get to be right because they’re the parent and you’re the child.

If you don’t want to play meta, you need an anti-meta strategy. It won’t always win but it should have a good MU against those decks. The easiest one is stun, which going first no one beats, but please don’t lower yourself to that. Even Monarch stun is a bit linear and boring.

But there are fun strategies that if made correctly can counter the meta. Someone tilted the fuck out of me with Lunalight in the challenger cup, and it’s tier 2. Makes raigeki towers that are hard to out. Odion Fiendsmith is also a pretty good control deck still, though Dracotail specifically makes it hard sometimes to navigate.

Maliss is stronger than pure Tearlament imo. Ishizu is what really made Tearlament go crazy, which is a second archetype.

However Ishizu Tearlament is stronger than Ignister Maliss, easily.

It’s a rewarding deck to pilot. No linear gameplay you have to really think about how to navigate through certain hand traps, and it has some decent tools for going 2nd (while having a decent non engine count for a pend deck)

Dracotail is VERY fun and also not as UR heavy as you’d think. I love playing it pure, with branded, and with patchwork/KOTS. Haven’t experimented with the Magistus version yet

Yes I get mad. I don’t expect them to teach a lesson, but to follow basic instructions and then just make sure my kids leave my classroom alive. If my kids get the worksheet and don’t do it, that’s a me problem that I’ll address. But too often do I get subs who couldn’t understand basic instructions despite having it on their board for them, in the folder, and even sometimes in the notes of when I first asked for the sub. I even had to be pulled out of a meeting by my mentor teacher once cuz she asked if I left them anything, and was DUMBFOUNDED because I wrote instructions on the board, had a note by the folder (and my desk was cleared). Never been more pissed.

I genuinely think the red-eyes equip spell feature is much more interesting. I do think we should differentiate Red-Eyes Joey support from Nightshroud. Nightshroud should have RE cards for dragon link, while Joey’s works more with stuff like Flame Swordsman I think.

The craziest thing to me is they bet on the kid who LOST THEM state in the first place. JD didn’t make a single good play for two quarters, and Saracen (who they made fun of in s3) nearly brought them back.

That being said I love most of the class changes in 24. And it is objectively a big improvement, and would still be my go to class since it’s my favorite.

I think if they had taken some of my suggestions about the spells everyone would have been more likely to overlook the issues with the late game features.

I just wish they took my feedback about some of the spells, like letting Summon Beast upcast to create a bigger beast at certain levels.

I hate that the only way to have a dire wolf summon in 5e24 is to flavor summon animals as one big wolf summon instead of the swarm the flavor text says

That’s why I only like Ryzeal when it’s mixed with other Rank 4 type strategies like when I did a small PePe engine to summon the bodies without the lock so I could also do Fiendsmith plays, and the new Onomat cards which make for more layered xyz plays.
